Warlords of the Accordlands: The Master Codex
Publisher: Alderac Entertainment Group

This is an amazing book, the classes are well designed (though not necessarilly well balanced) and the races are departures from the stereotypical norms. Class / Race abilities are amazing. For someone who likes D&D 3.0 or 3.5 this book is a blast.

The other reviewer says that this is an almost unreadable scan, I disagree, I haven't had any problem with reading it. Some of the pages were at a bit of an angle when it was scanned in, however it is readable without any difficulty.

Aberrant Rulebook

Aberrant is perhaps one of the best super hero game systems I have ever looked at. With it you can make characters that seem "super" easier than in most other games.

If you're wanting a game where super heroes are only slightly better than normal people, then this isn't for you, but if you want true super heroes, go for it.

Mekton Zeta Plus

If you're looking for an exciting roleplaying game, and you have the basic Mekton Zeta book this book is a godsend. It exponentially increases your ability to create mecha, as well as giving you several fun and very anime things you can add if you wish (such as psionic powers).

The only real problem I have with this book is that it can be very math intensive. It takes a lot of scratch paper, re-reading certain parts a couple times and more than a few restarts to finally get the creation process down pat (there are guides and examples but it's still difficult). However, once you've got it down, it is worth it.

This book also allows for less serious mekton campaigns including a section called "Cheesey Mekton Tricks" which can duplicate everything from indestructable giant headed small bodied goofy mechs to power rangers, if that kind of stuff is your thing.

The psionics previously mentioned are cool, they fit pretty well into the scheme of things (I don't personally care for having to add a stat to all psions that non-psions don't have but oh well, I never said it was perfect) and allows for some nifty (though not truely exceptional) alien races.

Oh, and if you're the referee you have to check out the section on "Creating totally unbalanced, godlike aliens." It's priceless.

Oathbound: Domains of the Forge

This book is a book with out a bit of grey, and by that I mean everything is either love or hate, and I do both. I'll start with the hate, just to get it out of the way.

The majority of the um. . .art work (for lack of a better term) is horrendous (or worse), it's litterally what ever they had lying around, much of it was done with colored pencils, and if the book axed 90% of the art work it would be a much better book. I would have been ashamed to have had my name on the majority of the art work, however, there are a few pieces that are well done.

However, that is the only bad thing I have to say about the book, the writing and content is top notch. The idea and setting, if not entirely unique, is uniquely accomplished and wonderfully done, I love the ability to pluck pcs out of campaigns and put them where I want them (and to mix different races / classes from various campaigns as well). I love the fact that this world has feel to it and isn't simply another grey hawk (or forgotten realms, or etc.)

What it comes down to is this: If you like a strong flavor to your campaign, and if you like pcs to be able to have any race and class that they desire, and if you don't mind running a high powered campaign (minimum suggested requirements are 7th level and 1.5x the normal magic items) AND you can deal with a book that has completely horrendous artwork, then I greatly recommend this book. I fully plan to get the second book.
