This adventure is exactly what I was searching for. I'm not a fan of the "Encounters" system adventures for the official game (sorry, Wizards) and didn't want a series of caverns for murder hobos to loot and pillage. I have looked at quite a few of the "unofficial" offerings but didn't find one that really grabbed me until this one.

The game world is intriguing but is tied to the adventure loosely enough to disconnect it and drop the adventure in your own setting. But this is a good setting, and one I will likely use with little customization.

A good blend of combat, negotiation, and exploration. Most encounters have taken PC decisions into account. By this, I mean the author doesn't assume the party will only choose "ATTACK!". XP rewards also vary to the possible outcomes.

Maps are nicely done and appear to have been made in CC3, not circles and boxes made in MS Paint.

Much thanks to the author for making and sharing this!

Thank you for your very positive review of \'An Echo of Days Past\', Jay. It makes a huge difference to know that all the work is appreciated. The second part \'Beneath the Razor\'s Edge\' is being play tested now so it should arrive soon. It has been a while but I would rather take a bit longer than to just push out a poorly designed adventure which doesn\'t offer good value for money. Reviews like yours inspire me to continue with the hard work. Thanks again. Mike

I feel that the product was definitely great. The storyline is engaging and descriptive, yet still leaves room for some ad-libbing as well. I actually cannot wait until the rest of the modules are done so that my gaming group can continue forward. The map images were definitely quality and when converted were easy enough to import in to a nice Roll 20 campaign setting. I highly recommend this and believe it is well worth the money.

I would just like to thank you for your generous review. A product of this length takes quite a while to write and so I am very pleased that you liked it. With \'A Storm About to Break\' I wanted to create a truly epic set of adventures rather than a single short experience. I am also creating the world they exist in as I write them, so plenty of work ahead :). Part Two is arriving very soon - it was slightly delayed due to work commitments - I hope you enjoy it as much. Best Wishes, Mike.
