I have purchased a number of the settings for Adventurers! here on DriveThruRPG, and have enjoyed them to the extent that I also went to the trouble of finding and purchasing softcover editions of Adventurers! Core and Adventurers! Fantasy.

As an old grognard (Gm'd my first games in the mid-70s), I enjoy its nostalgic, rules-light approach; but as a contemporary gamer I appreciate that, while simple and streamlined, the system is anything but simplistic; and I am amazed and delighted at how flexible, scaleable, and eminently hackable the whole system manages to be.

I would gladly play and read Adventurers! The Dungeon over playing or reading Dungeon World any day of the week.

Just a truly impressive achievement all around.

I picked up this "expansion" for the core Adventurers! RPG with the hope it would be as good as the core game was. It was. In a very simple and clean set of rules they have presented to us enough new material to make the classic dungeon crawl both fun and exciting. I believe this game is on to something important. A game does not need hundreds of pages and thousands of rules to be fun to play and fun to run. The trust of the GM and players to collaberate to bring a great time to the table is refreshing in the face of the mega rule sets.

The Adventurers! basic rules where already great, with this expansion you have everything to emulate classic DnD in a lean and light package. It is amazing how complete the game is with just the basic rules and this addition. There are even rules for player strongholds and crafting in it. I especially like the "Companies of Heroes" rule. Basically the party itself also gathers XP separate from the characters. The group can then buy special abilities for the group with these group XP. A cool idea that adds an additional dimension to the groups development.

Contrary to the other expansions The Dungeon does not contain a setting. But as it is clearly inspired by the worlds most famous RPG that should not be a problem. The included monsters will give you an easy start to play in whatever is your favorite fantasy world.

Excellent addition to the Adventurers! line. I really like the campaign building tools for strongholds and character companies. The company rules greatly enhance the teamwork aspect of the group.

Rules lite, but enough to maintain consistency and make for good gaming. Loving it, and cannot wait to see their next release. I'm hoping for something with rules for ships and naval combat ...

Once more Umberto proofs himself a worthy worldcrafter and, in this case even more, a mechanics builder. I'm truly astonished and amazed by The Dungeon - this rules for traps, treasures, new skills or advanced mechanics of weapons and armours are simple, easy to learn yet coherent and fun to use. Author also teaches about the sole idea of dungeon crawling - with clear, simple words I feel richer in knowledge. The oldschool ways in modern form at it's finest. The Dungeon completes me as a Adventurers! Gamemaster and Player.

A taste of tradition of rpg gaming with a streamlined and contemporary touch in mechanics (such as the company gifts, a reward for the whole adventuring party). Simple and immediate as all the Adventurers! settings.
