Year of the Zombie
Publisher: UKG Publishing

Normally I am much too lazy to write reviews. I mean to, but I just never can sit down and do the typing. Year of the Zombie has motivated me to jump on the keys and start pounding buttons like a chimp working on Bill's scripts.

The book is solid, well written. As a zombie survival horror fanatic I picked the book up just 'for the heck of it,' I figured I wouldn't be impressed. Man, was I wrong. I ended up loading it onto my pda so I could read it at work. When this comes out in print on demand, I plan to buy that version too. Literally, its one I wouldn't be able to put down.<br><br><b>LIKED</b>: Uh, well, everything? I loved the flavor text which is a diary written by a survivor that fleshes out what each part of the book is about. It lets you really get a feel for how the world is in Year of the Zombie. My gosh, I mean, they get into detail about military weapons and vehicles. I love how they explain that you need not panic if players get these things. I never thought of it. If the players get a tank, sure they can smash zombies, but it'll run out of fuel and the shamblers will be right there waiting for the hatch to pop.<br><br><b>DISLIKED</b>: If there is one complaint and mind you that, I feel is too strong a word for this fantastic product is that they didn't include civilian vehicles.<br><br><b>QUALITY</b>: Excellent<br><br><b>VALUE</b>: Very Satisfied<br>

Thanks very much. we appreciate very much knowing how people use our products, it helps in planning the next product, in the last review there was a comment on the bookmarks you may notice we have corrected this error and this work is now bookmarked, we apologise for the original oversight. Nice to see we got you to tip toe your fingers across your keyboard. As regards the civilian vehicles perhaps we made an error or did we? take a look at the adventures, expansions and sourcebooks as they come out, or visit the YotZ boards at www.yearofthezombie.co.uk and have a chat with the Author about the lack, or submit some stats yourself for your favorite vehicles, we may use them, and give you a credit. Holy cats, another good flesh nibbling product. I love this adventure. Well written, and very flavorful. You could really feel the descriptions. I am by far not a GM, but I feel that if I wanted to make this my first game adventure I would be in good hands.<br><br><b>LIKED</b>: Everything about it rocked.<br><br><b>DISLIKED</b>: Not a thing :)<br><br><b>QUALITY</b>: Excellent<br><br><b>VALUE</b>: Very Satisfied<br>

Pretty fun little pdf there. Tosses out a lot of interesting plots without stats and numbers to hold you back from using it in any system.<br><br><b>LIKED</b>: Well written, creative and all around fun. I just wish I could have the writer as my GM.<br><br><b>DISLIKED</b>: It's not really a Superlink project, it is systemless, why list it as such?<br><br><b>QUALITY</b>: Very Good<br><br><b>VALUE</b>: Satisfied<br>

George, Thanks for the comment. I'm not sure if I understand about the product being listed as a Superlink product. If it is I need to change that, but I think it's just listed under the generic Super Hero category. Send me an e-mail at josephbrowning@exp.citymax.com and let me know if I'm missing somthing. If it is listed as Superlink somewhere, I need to take care of that mistake. Thanks, Joseph Browning Expeditious Retreat Press

A Matter of Family, a M&M Superlink Adventure

This is a rather well thought out adventure and I for one am waiting to see more from the source. I sat down and read it tonight, and while I am not a GM I can see the thought that was put into it. I loved how they would break down the ending to handle different responces to the Mastermind at the end. The villains were fun and showed a lot of creativity.

I wasn't as happy with this product as I was the first. It just seemed more bland than the one before it. The Advanced Classes were not especially dazzling. I don't know, maybe it was just me. 3 of 5.

Nothing really special here. It was pretty helpful to use but there just wasn't enough meat in it for me.

It's a great source book, got much use out of it! I loved how they break down what equipment police and criminals would have by Wealth levels.
