This is good down-time reading material. Even experienced GM's can find many nuggets of wisdom that will help them improve their skills. Good buy for the money.<br><br>
<b>LIKED</b>: You get A LOT for the money. I like the many ways the data is organized.<br><br><b>DISLIKED</b>: Better search capabilities would be nice.<br><br><b>QUALITY</b>: Very Good<br><br><b>VALUE</b>: Satisfied<br>

As the product professes, this will help GM's create small communites for their Darwin's World campaigns. Its best used in between sessions, where the results can be fleshed out and brought to life.
Another good tool for Darwin's World GM's to use in sparking the imagination and bringing the wastelands to life.<br><br>
<b>LIKED</b>: Helpful for kickstarting the creation of settlements and communities. Even helps generate things such as total community assets and what that number represents. High production quality.<br><br><b>DISLIKED</b>: Little on the short side.<br><br><b>QUALITY</b>: Very Good<br><br><b>VALUE</b>: Very Satisfied<br>

This set contains the campaign book that details the city of Metropolis Rho, and the four adventures that take place within. Its a very different feel from other campaigns set in Darwin's World, and it may be a welcome change for DM's and players who tire of the wastelands.<br><br>
<b>LIKED</b>: There is a LOT of material here...plenty to keep the players involved for a long time. The big city, gangland feel is fun and exciting. Very high production values (even for RPGObjects). <br><br><b>DISLIKED</b>: The modules ramp the characters up relatively quickly (which may be a good or bad thing, depending on playstyles).<br><br><b>QUALITY</b>: Excellent<br><br><b>VALUE</b>: Very Satisfied<br>

Not being a huge fan of the Wealth system, I was intrigued by this product after checking out my friend's Future Price Guide. This will help GM's run their games using real cash, which is more fun and familiar to many players.<br><br>
<b>LIKED</b>: Tables are layed out well. Provides a Wealth to Cash conversion table, and simple rules to handle things like the windfall feat, etc.<br><br><b>DISLIKED</b>: Less so-so art and more discussion about how to use cash effectively would be nice (if not a bit out of scope for this product).<br><br><b>QUALITY</b>: Very Good<br><br><b>VALUE</b>: Very Satisfied<br>

This product is exactly what it claims to be: it is an excellent d20 SRD for the Fantasy Grounds client. It presents the data in a very accessible way and it makes it easy to add items to character sheet and reference data.<br><br>

This products overhauls the spell system common to d20 and instead implements a skill-based spell system. Knowledge checks determine the character's ability to know and cast a spell. It allows for spell casting above normal levels as well as for detrimental effects for miscast spells.
One nice thing is that it still uses the stated level of each spell, which makes it very easy to apply to any spell in the d20 system. The various new classes are a great addition as well.
This new system allows for so many possibilities (such as books that improve the chance to cast certain spells, etc.) that you'll want to switch immediately.<br><br>
<b>LIKED</b>: Great production value, which is typical of RPGObjects products. Makes spell casting more "magical" and uncertain. Nice flavor for some campaigns.<br><br><b>DISLIKED</b>: The system can be a bit harsh on players who are not willing to explore its possibilites.<br><br><b>QUALITY</b>: Excellent<br><br><b>VALUE</b>: Very Satisfied<br>

Thanks for the 4 stars, Jose. Glad you liked it. Sorry it was so short, though that was kind of the idea. Thanks for taking the time to review the product. |

This product presents interesting and dangerous creature/environmental hazards to harass your players with. These are best placed as features specific to regions, thus helping give to give flavor and life to otherwise bland areas. Not all of these hazards will be right for every campaign, though.<br><br><b>QUALITY</b>: Very Good<br><br><b>VALUE</b>: Satisfied<br>

This is a great addition to the Darwin's World Series of d20 Modern Books. It covers the material needed to integrate Beastmen into a campaign, and it includes a bunch of different types of animal types to try as a Beastman. It has new feats, defects and mutations, to name a few things. Good deal for the price.<br><br>
<b>LIKED</b>: High quality, which is typical of RPGObjects offerings. Plenty of variety.<br><br><b>DISLIKED</b>: Its a bit on the short side, with the print version weighing in at only 11 pages. I'd have liked more flavor text, which is usually very interesting.<br><br><b>QUALITY</b>: Very Good<br><br><b>VALUE</b>: Very Satisfied<br>

This is a brutal, realistic take on a "zombie infestation" campaign. It has all the rules needed to start a campaign, and there is plenty of material to keep the campaign going. This setting is not for the squeamish or weak-of-heart, since campaigns can tend to get gory and unforgiving. Its a hell of a lot of fun, though.<br><br>
<b>LIKED</b>: Great presentation. I like the grim, realistic portrayal of the setting. Its hard to do well, and this product succeeds. I also like the fact this product is also delivered in an HTML format. Handy.<br><br><b>DISLIKED</b>: I personally don't dislike anything about this product.<br><br><b>QUALITY</b>: Very Good<br><br><b>VALUE</b>: Very Satisfied<br>

This is a great supplement for Year of the Zombie. The module is long enough for a couple nights of gaming, with a bit of creativity. Its a very good intro into the setting, and can be a springboard for a long campaign. The nice thing about this setting/genre is that it can drive itself with a minimum of preparation, since it set in modern times and the players have their own ideas about what they need to do to survive.<br><br>
<b>LIKED</b>: Good presentation, just as in the core rules. Very interesting concept for an introductory module, and the ramp up to "zombie infestation" is very subtle and creepy.<br><br><b>DISLIKED</b>: I personally liked this product. No complaints.<br><br><b>QUALITY</b>: Very Good<br><br><b>VALUE</b>: Very Satisfied<br>

This is a great and almost necessary resource for Darwin's World or any other post-apocalyptic campaign. You can use this for a bunch of different scenarios:
- Items found during a search (ancient ruins or vehicles, etc)
- Items found on a fallen foe
- List of items for sale by passing scav
- Random dressing
The list goes on and on. In addition, this is a great resource for assigning prices to various new items. Just find similar items and price the new item comparably. Excellent quality resource, as is everything from RPGObjects.com and Darwin's World.
<br><br><b>LIKED</b>: Nice selection of items. Especially like the inclusion of mundane item that would have some value in a post-apocalyptic setting.
<br><br><b>DISLIKED</b>: None, really, although doubling the size of this already packed resource would be nice though...wink wink.<br><br><b>QUALITY</b>: Excellent<br><br><b>VALUE</b>: Satisfied<br><BR>[THIS REVIEW WAS EDITED]<BR>

For those wondering, this is the 1st section of a 4-part set that makes the complete Darwin's World Book. Section 2 is the Campaign Guide, section 3 is Terrors of the Twisted Earth, and section 4 is the free Gazetteer. You'll also want to DL the Charts and Tables. You put them all together and print them, and its a complete book, right down to the table of contents and index. I printed the cover twice (for the front and back of the book) and took the whole thing to Kinko's for lamination of the covers and spiral (or coil) binding. Cost me $8.50 and its AWESOME. The coil binding is strong and the book can sit flat open or fold over to the specific page...highly recommended.
Anyways, I bought Darwin's World 2: Survivor's Handbook because I was looking for a good post-apocalyptic setting. The new d20 Gamma World setting didn't get a good reception from gamers, and I didn't like that it strayed from its nuclear roots...bah. I found DW2 to be an excellent setting.
The Survivor's Handbook is chock full of material for players and DM's. There are 11 backgrounds, 16 occupations, a new basic class, 15 advanced class and even 8 EPIC classes. There's also plenty of new and revised skills and feats. The mutation system for DW2 is excellent, with tons of of options; the choices are creative and make playing a mutant fun and challenging. The list of equipment, especially the weapons, is very extensive, and the monetary system is great as well.
Overall, this is an excellent product and in my opinion the best post-apocalyptic setting currently on the market. Buyers will not be disappointed. I recommend the entire line of DW2 stuff.<br><br><b>LIKED</b>: High production values; print and screen pdf's for each product; very original, extensive game materials inside.<br><br><b>DISLIKED</b>: There should be an option to buy all the pdf's for DW2 in one set, like the Metropolis Rho eBox set.<br><br><b>QUALITY</b>: Excellent<br><br><b>VALUE</b>: Very Satisfied<br>
