Play this track, and you’ll find yourself right in the middle of a firefight between a heavily-armed team (machine guns, the other kind of RPGs) and some kind of monster. I’m not sure who’s doing all that screaming — bystanders or the unluckier spec ops personnel. The monster’s roars are pretty evocative. The flavor is just right. The downside is that the track is very busy and noisy, and could overwhelm the gaming going on in the foreground if you play it too loud. But if you play it too softly, it sounds unrealistic or far away. I’m not sure how to resolve that dilemma. By the way, the catalog description identifies this track as “Spec Ops Team vs Otherworldly Being,” but the ID3 tags call it “Spec Ops vs Large Entity.” A little confusing.

I've purchased many Cthulhu-related ambient tracks in the last weeks, from this and another company. All of them are of great quality and perfect for my games, but I have to say that this one excels above other tracks I've listened to. I can't wait to test this one in my Delta Green campaign.

It would be great if other similar tracks would be developed to cover other combat situations:

-1920s car chase with shots against a winged creature -Modern car chase with shots against a winged creature -Handguns against huge creature (suitable for 1920s and Modern Day games) -Great Old One crushing buildings as it advances though a city in the Apocalypse -Mythos Cult ceremony with chants -Etc.

Also, some other Lovecraftian ambience sounds would be welcomed, like:

-Arctic storm with the terrible wailing of Ithaqua -Tunnels with echoes of a Shoggoth's infamous "Tekeli-li"

(SPOILERS AHEAD) Perfectly suitable for any small arms combat against a big creature. For instance, the scenario "A Night at Olmstead Mountain" from "Delta Green Eyes Only".
