It is really sad that they are in such a small format.

It's not that i don't like it, it's more that it's a desuet book. Great for its time ; but nowadays it's just out of date.

I bought it because some stuff in it interested me ; but i bought it in PDF. I would not bought it in real book, or just for collection.

It is a very well done book. Though it does not totally follow what was telled in V20, it is not a major problem, the variations are little. With interesting theories, well written stories and explainations about this bloodline, it could have been a true White Wolf book.

A great asset to play and be played by Baali in your WoD games.

Such a good anthology. More grounded into the Lore than the Endless Ages from V20 (though a very good book too, don't make me say what i didn't said !), very nice to dive into the ambiance and fluff of the Dark Age Vampire WoD.

One of the best book of the V4 line. Bringing back and rewriting/modernize a lot of things that came from the weird and clunky Dirty Secret of the Black Hand was really a great idea ! And adding some information about splats we didn't have so much about (like the Order of Moloch or the Bahari) and enhancing stuff around the mages of the Sect or totally rewriting the bad Eater of Soul disease is very very great too.

But the best thing in this book is the fact that this sect become a truly playable sect ! And that's great. Especially when following the events of the Beckett's Jyhad Diary.

A nice book, whith everything you need to play. I'm just desapointed that there is no Update concerning the last books of the 20A Vampire the Masquerade edition, creating characters out of nowhere when there is so much vampires to use instead... (like the new Regent of the Sabbat) (as Errata or things like that) There is a lot of incoherancy in the book, like the possibility to play some Bloodlines that not exist anymore (Telyavelic Tremere for the exemple are just erased since Telyavel himself was banished from this realm in DAV, that's one exemple amongst a lot...)

So :

• Mechanics : Good !
• Lore : EW ! Poor and incoherent.
• Story Line : Very poor, and not following other things.
