PD One: Prime Directive Core Book 1993
Publisher: Amarillo Design Bureau

After an initial reading, I am really quite impressed by the mechanics and feel of this game. I am quite surprised that the publisher did not maintain this version of Prime Directive in addition to the d20, Gurps, and Traveller versions. There is much to be said for this unique RPG. Be warned though....and it bears repeating....this is NOT Trek as it currently stands. It is Trek as it might have evolved based on the original series. And frankly, I like the Starfleet universe better anyway as it seems more consistent.

For the price.....this game feels entirely too generic. Not a terrible game, I just feel there are much better rule sets out there.

Just what I expected. A very well done clone of the old Tom Moldvay Basic & Expert Dungeons & Dragons. Very cool.

100 Fantasy Adventure Seeds

Hey, what can I say about this product? The author nails it on the head in the introduction. I hate reading through pages and pages of crap backround material that I'll end up throwing out or forgetting to use during the gaming session. This has everything you need to run an adventure on 1 page: the hook, plot, and twists that are the meat of any gaming session. The rest of the stuff can be generated on the fly in reaction to the PC's actions. Which is how it should be. Great product.

LIKED: Infinitely more useful than most modules costing as much or more.

DISLIKED: Border around every page in book. Looks nice, but this is a PDF product. Unnecessary waste of ink or toner.

QUALITY: Excellent

VALUE: Very Satisfied
WorldWorksGames / Chunky Dungeons 1.5"
Publisher: WorldWorks Games

This is a gorgeously rendered terrain set with a lot of neat little extras to go with it. Be warned that the look is somewhat stylized rather than "realistic." However, I don't necessarily find that to be a negative trait, but some people (including people I game with) may find it to be a turn off. Once you see this thing built, you can not deny the artistry that went into creating it. The only really negative thing I will say about this is I would have preferred to have two sized floorplans included with it like some of the other sets. I really don't like the click games or miniatures and will never use them. 1" grids are much more useful to me. There is always scaling in Acrobat, though. All in all, I don't think anyone could be to disappointed in this purchase.

LIKED: Much smaller download than the "other dungeon" product.

DISLIKED: 1.5" grid. This is nitpicking, but it really irks me. Click games are dead, dead, dead where I game.

QUALITY: Excellent

VALUE: Very Satisfied
The Dungeon Volume I
Publisher: Stones Edges
by Michael W. [Verified Purchaser]

Very nice Dungeon set. Beautiful, realistic textures and easy to assemble. Only 1.5" grid scale though. I play with real miniatures that you assemble and paint, not assembly line painted toys. I hate those click games...but I digress...1" floorplans would have been nice. Superior quality product and well, well worth the $10.

LIKED: Inexpensive and beautifully rendered textures.

DISLIKED: 1.5" Squares for the movement scale. Those "click" games are not popular in my neck of the woods..er..city.

QUALITY: Excellent

VALUE: Satisfied
This is a spectacular product!!! Any GM short on time needs to buy these books.

LIKED: Addition of index cards with the different descriptions on them.

DISLIKED: Aimed at d20. I play Iron Gauntlets, but it is still generic enough to be incredibly useful for any fantasy game.

QUALITY: Excellent

VALUE: Very Satisfied
Now THIS is what roleplaying is supposed to be. I've gotten jaded with systems that over emphasize combat and magic systems to the detriment of the actual fun of telling the story. This book gives enough info to get started and plenty of breathing room for an experienced game master. Great stuff.

QUALITY: Very Good

VALUE: Very Satisfied
