I downloaded this title early in Nov. 2015. These are really great Taverns and offer Players a good place to start or at least rest between campaigns. My personal favorite is Blackberry Bill's Tavern. I've already started 'translating' this one into a Neverwinter Nights area for inclusion into a Persistent World (Argentum Regio - Google it!)

Part of the Tavern Description is missing, though - specifically the end of the description for Braybin Mockingson—Tavern Server. Page 9, Column 1 is complete, ending with "While they have all stayed for various lengths of time, sometimes years, before moving on," Notice the ending comma that indicates there is more to this sentence. Column 2 is entirely an ad for "Tangible Taverns: Tuffy’s Good Time Palace". Page 10 starts the description of "The Pattering Platypus". 'Something' has defiantly been left out, and I would surely like to know what. Maybe someone at Dire Rugrat could correct this edition of 'Trio of Taverns' so I can get the missing info.

If this gets done, I'll change my rating to the '5' you so richly deserve.

I have been downloading several (Free and Paid) PDF files for ideas to be included in the Building program I am involved with for a Neverwinter Nights Persistent World (Argentum Regio - Google it!). This title will be one of the most valuable for me - Lots of interesting taverns - 12 in all (High-Brow to really sleazy - quite a variety); Many well-defined NPCs, even a Bonus Quest that could be a lengthy Adventure all by itself.

Tavern Descriptions are really well done, and include a History of the Tavern, Typical Patrons, Stats of Notable NPCs, and Story Hooks/Seeds for side adventures. There are no floor plans for the various Taverns, but that is what imagination is for - fairly easy to build any of the Taverns with the descriptions given.

Which Rule System the title uses isn't given, and some things in the NPC descriptions are unknown to me. Here is one of the Descriptions:

Very nicely laid out and outstanding description of the World of Filbar (not so long as to make it a chore to read it; long enough for good basic descriptions). I especially liked the d12 Tables for Citizen Characteristics - Great place to start when populating a world-full of NPCs!

The maps are very well drawn, and informative in and of themselves. However, the maps have no key - the most important part of any map. There should be a key for the city icons. Queen's Point is the only one I could point to with any accuracy, since it is the only one on the coast. There are two other 'Main' cities on the map, but without labels or icon keys, I have no idea what they are. There should be a key to the map icons also to make things a little easier. Perhaps the Map Keys are included in following PS series. They are in my 'Wish List'.

Lack of Map Keys was the only reason I rated this product a '4' instead of the well-deserved '5'.
