Nodes are tricky. When raw reality coalesces it takes many forms and every mage book seems to have a different take. Different takes are what mage is about after all but somebody ought to do a reference guide.
We are in luck!
Charles has systematically directed the available lore on nodes and given a fantastic organization to that information. This book is full of rotes, dozens of example nodes and all sorts of useful ways mages of the World of Darkness tap into their esoteric power with citations and page numbers for official material and tons of original ideas.
If you are a storyteller who needs a solid reference guide for running nodes ideas for nodes or needs a handy list of ways tass might form this book is for you.
If you're character is a wonder crafter and you want to know what kind of tass would work best for their latest wand/invention/monstrosity this book is for you!

Since the dawn of time it has been mankind's dream to turn animals into attack beasts. This is apparent in the most recent Jurassic Park films where science looked at the majesty of the resurrected thunder lizards and asked "how can we weaponize this for profit?"
And what are Pokémon trainers doing with all that power but throwing it into combat?
We have seen the trope of St Bernard with the medicinal collar as the snow bound hero but we all nodded and went "yep" when poor doomed Cujo went rabid and started munching on the cast. A St Benard on the warpath is a horrific concept. One with mutant supernatural might and gifts of the Wyrm is a runaway freight train on fire.
Animals can be dangerous. To control that danger is thrilling.
So when presented with the idea that good old Pentex is pursuing animal fomori it seems the response should be "what took em so long?"
This book covers the various ways that Project Echidna has succeeded in corrupting normal animals into the most horrible and atrocious combat monsters I've seen in quite awhile. The writers have found the Tromaville vibe that Werewolf the Apocalypse toys with and shook it till the candy came out. And it is such dark and alluring candy.
This book will give you nightmares, and ideas for things to throw at your WoD PCs that they will not be ready for. A cthulian buffet of monstrous powers and terrifying beasts, and the psychotic human monsters who make them…. Well mostly human. Some were human at a point in the past- although it may only be apparent now if you squint.
This book is a fantastic monster manual to add to your Storyteller arsenal regardless of what game line you favor. There are plenty of plot hooks and found documents to build a mystery for your PCs to crash into.
Just… make sure they got the stomach for it first, maybe.

From it's very opening words to it's guidelines for patron creation this book takes you on an excellent ride. A plethora of predators, prey and those wise enough to stay off the highway lurk within, beckoning you to come along and to wash your hands after. Enough spirits and ideas for how to create spirits lurk inside to keep a theurge busy for some time.
If you are a storyteller thinking of running a game anywhere on the gulf coast and associated waterways you will find this book useful. If you want to homebrew a patron spirit for your pack of pups who haven't found their match in the mainline werewolf books this is your lucky day.
If you just like looking at drawings of critters give this a shot.
