Why I do not like the game is because they didn't fix the key problem that old Chill had. Numbers often exceeded 100 in this percentile driven game. Basically you never miss or fail a skill roll unless the CM puts a difficulty on what you are doing. This makes more experienced players hindered because they are more experienced. The whole sequence of combat was something nobody did, is outdated, and should've been redone. This really feels like the intention was to just copy the old game and put it out as something revised.

I loved Chill and wanted to love this but nothing was improved and everything taken out was missed. Basically 2nd edition will do just fine.

Positive note: Nice getting the artist from the original Chill to do this.

I never thought I would find a RPG that I would spend time and money printing out and then want to throw it away. I have many RPGs that I dont like but I keep them around to read and/or they have some tidbits of useful info to be used with other games. This game has nothing useful and has a percentage based system that is easy but unplayable. Unplayable in the fact that everything adds to or subtracts from the base percentage score of whatever is being done. You have to flip through the book and subtract and add (...and subtract and add...) to get the final score to roll against. This is a clear case of putting your hope in a product you have no info about and cannot flip through at the store. Most of the book has pages telling about how to roleplay and many other pages of wasted space that is trying to be information. Do not buy it.

LIKED: Nothing.

DISLIKED: Wasted pages saying nothing of use. The small amount of pages dedicated to the system are for a sytem outdated and innane. Not even an introductory scenario was provided!

QUALITY: Poor

VALUE: Ripped Off
Creator Reply:
Your view seems to be wildly at odds with everyone else who purchased it and no, you do not need to flip back and forth through the book to subtract and add and subtract and add... I do wonder if you actually read it.

Savage Tales #6: Zombie Run

Exactly like playing a character in those zombie movies we all love. After a breakout of a zombie plague, you and your fellow survivors are: trying to find a way out of your "safe" hovel and then traveling to find a "safe" pace w/ others. This includes many great encounters along w/ great rules and advice as to how to set up the encounter(s). Including maps and miniature advice. Alot of information and story for your money.

LIKED: Great art and layout. Well worth the price. Interesting, frightful, challenging, and many night playable encounters.

DISLIKED: No complaints.

QUALITY: Excellent

VALUE: Very Satisfied
This rpg seems to be a hash of ideas all put together w/ not sembelance of what it wants to be, or what it is. It just seems unfinished. I bought this because of the hype I heard about it. It is mentioned in the vain of indy rpgs that are unique and revelutionary (in system and/or concept). It could be something worth buyin if it was totally rehashed, but as for now it's a work in it's beginning stages.

LIKED: There's a little something there, but not much.

DISLIKED: Totally unplayable. The rules are sooo basic as to be insulting. The story is not unique and tries to be too David Lynch-esque.

QUALITY: Disappointing

VALUE: Ripped Off
This is a game where a review would spoil alot about the concept. The fun of this game is reading it for the first time. It has a unique and clever premise along w/ it being horrific. Now as the premise seems playable, it's not due to the lack of information provided in the game. I know the game is only $5, but this is a game that should either be a free download w/ some content taken out, or (my opinion) a larger download (maybe $8 w/ twice the page count) w/ alot more info on .... well, everything. When I say everything, it is not because I'm giving a shot but because it has alot of areas where one is reading it wishing there was more info so one could actually run a cool scenario/campaign.

LIKED: The central idea and mechanics as is so far. The creepiness/horrific atmosphere.

DISLIKED: Not really playable at this point. I'm sure good GM's could do it, but I think more info could have alot more GM's out there running it in the vain creepiness it's supposed to be run in.

QUALITY: Acceptable

VALUE: Satisfied
