I've been looking for a way to build a world that my friends would be invested in to introduce them to Fate and stumbled upon this in a google+ group. After reading it I definitely can't wait to put this to use and get some inspiration from my group! The suggested method is clear and concicely written with excellent illistrative examples. Highly recommended for an aspiring GM like myself

Like the others this is a great "choose (or really roll) your own adventure" type scenario, with appropriate results based on your fate dice rolls, aspects compelled through the story, and usefulness of envoking your aspects and stunts to achieve success. Having now played through all of Leo Winsteads FAE Solo Adventures, I have to say this one was probably my favorite. I was at first a litte aprehensive about the setting as steam punk and it's derivatives are just generally not by thing but ultimately the playthrough was really great.

Maybe I just had the lukiest session with Air Brigade, but ths scenario I felt like had the best flow of losing and winning rolls resulting interesting results but still allowing the story to carry on. Without the suddent taken out stuations I kept finding myself in in Tulikak or the "I only rolled the dice twice, nothing intersting happened, and suddenly the story ended with aliens getting off my ship and flying away while my character pondered how wise they were" thing I experience with Cryonaut, I felt like Air Brigade really offers better potential development of the story.

The Tomb of Tulikak

Really enjoying these solo adventures to help get my mind around the the basics of running a scenario in Fate. The scenario itself is pretty interesting and the explanation of the rules is very helpful. My only complaint and reason for cutting one star after having plaid Tomb of Tulikak five times is that I find the way you can suddenly be taken out as the result of a single roll to be a bit frustrating. I would much rather the events that lead to being taken out inflict stress/consequences instead. It is frustrating to be 20 minutes into an adventure, feeling like the story is rolling along nicely and then BAM because of one bad roll it is all over. When this happens I usually just go back and continue on as if I hadn't missed that one roll. A gradual build of up stress/consequencies until finally being taken out would do a lot more for building tension and keeping the story rolling.

A quick playthrough of this tonight was my first introduction to FAE after having read the rule book cover to cover. This is a great "choose your own adventure" type scenario, with appropriate results based on your fate dice rolls that definitely taught me some things about the FAE rules that can only be clarified through actual play. I'll be grabbing the other solo books to run through as I prep to introduce my friends to Fate.
