This is a great steam ship map I used for Space: 1889. I did not mind that there are no interiors. We could imagine them. It uses 3 ft. squares and hexes, which is fine, though I would have preferred 5 ft., which is the default in the Ubiquity rules, I don't know about others. The print-out is pretty large (2x8 pages). Uses up a lot of ink (esp. cyan), but looks impressive once cut and taped together.

Yet ANOTHER disappointing boat. If I buy a map of a building, I don't expect to just get a map of the roof. In the same way, when I buy a map of a ship, I expect SOME sort of deck plans.

Hmm - one look at this tramp steamer and I visualise Indiana Jones battling some villainous treasure hunter (and probably falling overboard)... but whatever 20th century through to near-future game you are playing, who knows when a no-questions-asked means of transportation across the seas (well out of sight of the authorities who tend to assume you'll travel as a regular passenger be it on an ocean liner or an aircraft) will come in handy.

And once there, who's to say that a brawl won't break out... the crew, pirates or Customs trying to board...?

So a fine top-down view of the decks of a classic tramp steamer, provided plain or with hex or square grid and in a vast single sheet or as several pages to stick together depending on your printing capabilities or online gaming needs... all ready for that brawl or whatever else you wish to happen during the voyage.

Two life-boats, a single funnel, the bridge, plenty of deck space on two levels... all crisp if less-than-perfectly clean, you can just about smell the oil and see the rust. A very atmospheric setting.
