I find this quite good. However you should realise this is not like Companion rulebook. For me, this pdf is bunch of great ideas, hidden under jokes, social memes and between the lines. It is great if you are looking for some inspiration and I actually used a lot of things from this. It is defenitely worth the price, but make sure you realise what you are getting.

A tounge in cheek poke to the Scion forums and players of the Epic Divine RPG! While not the same quality as the rest of the Scion books (What's more to expect from a free April Fool's joke?) it still has many worthwhile qualities. Especially the pokes at the many different types of players of Scion and the rest of Onyx Path Publishing's many game lines.

The Good - It's free. It's also funny, in places. The Bad - The constant preteen humour gets forced and irritating after a while. The gods and scions are, quite frankly, useless. The blatant rip-offs of existing media topics stop being funny after five minutes. The Ugly - It's a badly compiled file that can take minutes to go from one page to the next.

I love the Scion system, I really do. I own three sourcebooks, three supplements and four companions, all bought through DTRPG. This book adds nothing to the mythos that five minutes work and some crude jokes wouldn't replace.

The Scions, if you play them the way the book suggests, are largely more interested in getting laid than doing anything productive with their Birthrights (that preteen humour again). Seriously? A Professional Cat Herder?

For Scion completists only, and even then only if you need some Z-list NPCs and enjoy seeing "Adobe Reader is not responding..." error messages.

Produced as an April Fool's supplement/joke, this free PDF has some nice laughs (sheer number of dick jokes in one of the god write-ups is impressive) and some interesting material. It gives you a look at some very low-profile Scions and low-profile Gods, all with a rather humorous edge.

Even with that in mind, I do have to say that sometimes nothing is better than something and the write-ups for some of these gods isn't so much humorously loose as completely made up without reference to reality. It's cool to put a modern spin on things, but quite another to just make up a whole legend and personality for a historical, non-fictional goddess like Xochiquetzal.

Should you take seriously a book that has an in-game version of Psy and contains re-spun lyrics to Gangnam Style along with a Scion of the Bacon God who loves Bacon and is a divinely-inspired Bacon Salesman? Probably not. But sometimes mythology really is that weird and honestly the PDF is free and good for a few laughs. Some of the characters are even the kind that might be useful. Min and Babi are pretty nifty Egyptian Gods, too.

3/5 Stars = It's funny, but sometimes goes too far for a laugh when it doesn't need to.

Let's start with the good things: It's free.

Know let us continue with the things, wich arn't good at all: First the PDF is poorly coded, it's a huge flie for this little content. Now for the content, it contains some characters, who needs pregenerated characters? And it contains some "god" never heared off, with a feel: see the characters my groupe played.

Conclusion: You can't do anything wrong with a free item? This items proves you can.

(Scion: Extras) is much as I anticipated — a forest of thoughts, some true, many false, more part dubious, all of them ingenious in some degree, often in a high degree. But there is no method in (its) talk; (it) wanders like a man sailing among many currents, whithersoever his lazy mind directs him; and, what is more unpleasant, he preaches, or rather soliloquises. He cannot speak, he can only talk (so he names it). Hence I found (it) unprofitable, even tedious; but we parted very good friends, I promising to go back and see him some evening, a promise which I fully intend to keep. I sent him a copy of Meister, about which we had some friendly talk. I reckon (Scion: Extras a book) of great and useless genius: a strange, AWESOME, not at all a great (RPG supplement). - Thomas Carlyle, 1824
