It's a shame this edition has been "updated" to Revised Deadlands; reduces its usefulness for Original Deadlands. The cover is better than the original edition of Law Dogs. In the Weapons Tables, I'm assuming ROF 2 equates to Speed 1 and ROF 1 equates to Speed 2. The text does not mention that The Laughing Men are also detailed in The Quick & The Dead.

An important supplement for Deadlands. Covers both sides of the law, as well as the tools of the trade: guns. This book is out of print, so having it available at all is amazing.<br><br><b>LIKED</b>: The weapon tables are huge, and the customization rules are fun. Is the glare off your nickle-plated revolver worth the name it'll make for you?

Nice detail on the basics of the law, including how and why the justice process derails (answer to both: money and power)

I like that some effort was provided to explaining how criminals and desperadoes could join a party of do-gooders. Bravo. <br><br><b>DISLIKED</b>: Unfortunately, one gun is the best: The Colt Double-Action Peacemaker. Everyone buys it. Ouch. It would have been nice to several different guns, with similar prices, of equal quality. Nope. Then again, I am not up on my history of firearms; perhaps the Colt Peacemaker truly was that dominant. This book gives plenty of information on the law as we know it in the wierd west. It also gives some information on the lawbreakers. I would say that this is a must have for any Marshal in a Deadlands campaign. A very useful addition to the Weird West. Although most of the rules in it are now out of date and are improved in later source books, there is still plenty inside that will help flesh out your keeper of the peace.

A great reprint of a deadlands title. What is really nice is that this is updated to the new version of the deadlands core rules, all stats and mechanics have been fixed. Making this an excellent buy.
