Back when my 'TSR marbles' were still dice-shaped, I made a fairly dull turn tracker with graph paper and various stickers... this is somewhat more elegant and just as useful - provided nobody sneezes and blows all the markers away.
The look and feel of D&D Basic has been maintained as well, not just in the cover but in the tracker and the spell tokens provided.
A neat and useful little resource to keep track of the ten-minute turns upon which a lot of D&D Basic spells and other effects depend. A pointer shows you which turn you're in, with markers showing spell duration, burning time of torches... and even when it's time for a wandering monster roll.
Some DMs may like to keep this in the open, so that everyone can keep track. Others may tuck it behind their screen so that the players may literally find themselves in the dark if they haven't been paying attention to that torch!
