This has to be one of the most refreshing monster books ever published. The book is laid out very well with excellent artwork. Reading the monster descriptions conjures up all kinds of interesting and horrifically entertaining scenarios. Definitely worth every penny and more. I'll definitely be putting this to good use. The only thing that is missing from the book though is bookmarks. That is a necessity when trying to look up monsters quickly. Other than that, this book is stellar and I highly recommend it to anybody who has a love for monster tomes.

WOW! What more needs to be said? I was delighted to see pdf's being offered once again - especially this one and the Expert Rulebook that goes with it. This is classic D&D at it's finest. As for the quality of the actual pdf, it is the best you could hope for. Pages are all perfectly straight and of uniform size and all text is very clear and readable. I tried printing out a few pages and they came out perfectly legible. If you've ever wanted to play old school D&D this is definitely the way to go and the price is right. It's nice to be able to have a "legal" copy of these finally. So what are you waiting for? Go and get it!
