The Namer - a Dungeon World compatible class

(This review is focused on the Namer playbook in particular as that is the only one I have read)

This is a pretty cool playbook! It occurred to me that True Name magic might be well-suited to Dungeon World, because I have seen it attempted in more gamist systems (like the Truenamer from the 3.5 D&D's Tome of Magic) but it is hard to manage.

I like the way this playbook structures the learning and use of names. It definitely feels like "magic using True Names," rather than "A language of power," which commonly are combined. The advancements are well-handled as well, giving options for different types of Namers who may wish power over items, animals, and the natural world, or may choose to take the risk of sharing their True Name with others.

I was amused by "Private Cypher" which looks like digital encryption. Poor medieval mages, haven't figured out how to do a public key/private key split yet.

My only critique is that some of the advanced moves, especially in the level 6-10 range, are a little hard to read. They have a lot to say. This doesn't really get in the way of anything, however, it just makes scanning the class more difficult.

Thank you for writing this, and I hope to have a chance to use it in a game some time!
