It is what you expect as far as the contents are concerned. Don't bother with the PoD as Drivethru's quality has gone down hill lately.

Contents and rules are good. I have a couple of concerns about high level play but overall probably one of the better D&D based variations out there.

I will say that the quality of DriveThru's PoD has gone way down lately. This one has multiple issues with the binding and I'll soon be having too transfer it to a three ring binder.

If you have any of the previous versions of Fading Suns 2nd Ed don't waste your money. It's the same game with a few changes that don't add enough to the game to justify $21 for a pdf.

You're getting a black and white file with recycled art and massive blocks of text. The rules are changed in a few area's making use of previous books difficult on the fly. And if your looking for improved starship rules forget it, they are untouched. Also please note that $21 will buy you 1 of the two core rule books for this version while you can get the full game for $17.48 as the 2nd Edition from Holistic Design.

What you are looking at here is just end result of RedBrick's dumping of the guy who had been working on this for years and writing a new version in just a few months with very little apparent play testing. And then resurrecting the name of an old company with a good rep and shutting RedBrick down.
