Dreamwalker is the first supplment for Active Exploits I looked at. I was very impressed with the concept behind it, though I wish their was a little more discusion on mechanics and less on theme. Though this only slightly detracts from the supplment.

Creative and immagantive. A good source.

I really enjoyed this--I look forward to plundering it for my Call of Cthulhu games (using Unknown Armies for rules). Lost of good ideas in here, and exceptional support for GMs in the form of advice on how to design adventures for this setting.

Dreamwalkers are able to leave their own dreams and travel into the dreams of others. They can do this through the use of drugs, prayer, meditation or natural ability. The discovery of this new dimension also alerted mankind to an alien menace that lurks in people's dreams, and if not dealt with, will eventuate in the dreamers' mental deterioration. The players play the role of Dreamwalkers who act against the aliens.

The book itself is written in a professional and atmospheric manner. Whole dreamworlds of gaming are open to reader. One can virtually game in any setting ranging from fantasy to modern day to space opera. There are not many illustrations in the PDF though, but where there is, it is of good quality and appropriate to the setting.

This version is for use with the Active Exploits Diceless Roleplaying. (There is a D20 version for purchasing as well.) The Active Exploits system is a great fit for Dreamwalker, being flexible and rules-light enough to fit in any type of scenario, and disappears nicely into the background during play.

I highly recommend this game. Ideal for those who do not like to be restricted to a particular setting but yet want game / character continuity.

Wonderful supplement. The system this is made for - Active Exploits - works great with it. The system for handling control of Dreams is in depth, and there's plenty of good meat for coming up with fun new campaign adventures every week. (And don't be turned off by the dicelessness!)

Basically, you and your crew travel through dreams of mental patients, trying to cure them of a psychological infection of sorts... As a result, you have to "solve" the problems of the dream. This often is in the form of either some puzze-solving or old-school combat - usually both.

(A little hint: the rules are also very good for running Matrix-esqe games.)
