A really good set of miniatures! These Minotaurs are massive and imposing when compared to the other figures on the table. Good to make memorable encounters, more yet if after a tough fight with the Minotaur soldiers the party has to pass through the leaders like Angus the Black and Gregor the Conqueror (What is that on his hand? Is that a cannon!? OMG IT IS, RUN!!!)

My only critique is that the borders of the figures are a little weird and subdued, maybe an artifact of the scanning process in making these figures. Nothing that can't be fixed with a graphics editor, or even with a felt tip pen, after the figure is printed.

I must say this set came out of the blue can caught me off guard. I'm not much of a minotaur fan but the art work really gripped me and suddenly I dreamt up al possible scenarios of how to use them in my Sci-Fi games.

I really think Grey Matter Games is truly an up and coming force in the paper gaming industry. Waiting in anticipation to see what next they going to do.

I am mainly interested in acquiring figures for fantasy roleplaying, as opposed to wargaming, and it's not often that you see so many minotaur designs in one place. It's one thing to make a set of very cool and badass minotaurs, it's a whole other level to create a codex and background for the figures. Reading the material gave me a whole new appreciation for Minotaur characters and options for RPG settings for both tactical wargames and role playing adventures. The art is some of the best I've seen come from Grey Matter Games and it looks like the releases are just going to get better and better! I am eagerly anticipating release of more imaginative and creatively realized paper minis for my game table and the release of Era of War!
