i was very disapointed with product for really only one reason. In adobe 6.0 (and prolly others) you can select the capture photo tool and, buy copying and pasting, build as many sheets of exactly the minis you want. For some reason this invaluable option has been disabled in this product and caused me to not use them at all. If you are into printing multiple sheets of minis then go right ahead but i prefer to keep cost to a minium.<br><br><b>QUALITY</b>: Disappointing<br><br><b>VALUE</b>: Disappointed<br>

A usefull product for quick minis, but they are a bit cartoony. If that doesn't bother you, then this product is a definit pick. But if you want realism, you might find these figures lacking.

I like the style of SJG's Cardboard Heroes and was looking for something similar. I found these paper minis to be more on the cartoony side. I also prefer full colour backs to the figures but these ones take the black silhouette approach.
So saying, they are quite nice in themselves and will definitely see some use in my games. They are well drawn and nicely coloured. Could have done with a few more good guys who are heavily outnumbered by the bad guys.
Now some advice for the publisher if they intend to produce any more figure packs (I would like to see more). The one thing that lets the product down is the layout. There's far too much white space and there's no (obvious) logic to how the figures have been laid out. For example, I will need a bunch of skeletons for my players to take on tomorrow. There are 5 nice skeletons figures in here, but they're spread over two pages and mixed in with a bunch of other folks. Keeping the same type of monster on the same page is a must for economical printing.

Thank you for your feedback. We are currently developing a system to allow you print duplicate minis on a page for when you need a pack of the same creature.
There is a logic to the layout - it was to optimize the cutting out of the minis. Look for improvements in this set and others in future. |

If you are only going to buy one pack of paper miniatures, this is the one to buy. There's a minimum of silliness (no Barbie in chainmail).

The artwork is clean and slightly comic book oriented, which lends itself well to the small sixe of miniatures. Sadly, there are much fewer hero choices than enemies, and in the heor selection, more females than males. (Which, sadly does not match the general gaming population.) Also, as you have to print the whole page or none of it, repetition of the monster choices woudl have been nice in the extra white space. If I want five skeletons, I'll get five of everything on the page. Still, the quality is good and the product is mostly what it claims to be.

Overall good figures, and a wide selection.
I found that some of the figures lacked as much contrast when printed out at the size than I would like, and some of the figures have a more cartoony (perhaps Exalted-style?) which doesn't appeal to me that much.
However, the undead figures are great, and some even a bit ghastly! The set is far better for villians than for heroes/PCs in my opinion, but your tastes may vary.

Good for lazy DMs. You can even custom colour the B&W versions to suit specific clothing/hair colours. Slightly comic-ish artwork, which actually looks good on a tiny figure.

Art quality is very, very good. Selection of player character type minis is a bit limited, but still a great alternative to metal minis.

Not bad, a fair selection, the illustrations are cartoon styled, my only real complaint is the gaps they left on some of the pages. Even if they didn't want to have any more different varieties these gaps should have been filled up with the most monsters already within the product. That is the chief reason it only gets three stars, rather than four.

Thanks for leaving feedback, but just to clarify:
Even if every page was filled to the max, you would still have the same amount of pages. We played around with it to get you the most efficient layout. The way it is provides the least amount of cutting. Since some minis are oversized, they are grouped together. If not, you would be twisting and turning quite a bit to get the pages cut and it would be a major pain for you. |

Very Good, I like have both B&W as well as color in the set. Quality of graphics is very high.

Good basic mixture of figures - humans, humanoids and undead with a variety of equipment. The main problem I've had with paper minis in the past is that they wear out fast, but having the PDF file to reprint them cures that. It's a good idea to have them in black & white as well as colour.
Hopefully the suppliers will bring out an SF set sometime soon.

Very nice figures. These are the vertical two sided "sandwich board" type, rather than the three-sided type favoured by Pinnacle.
Sizewise they're compatible with Microtactix, Cardboard Heroes etc. The artwork is very nice, clear and crisp, and would scale up well. There's a good selection of the most commonly used PCs and monsters/undead, done in a slightly anime-ish style that would suit games like Exalted, but wouldn't be too out of place in a standard fantasy game. The file includes both full colour and black & white line art figures.
The downside, and really the only thing stopping these figures from earning five stars is that there are big empty gaps on several pages. Most people are going to be printing these on cardstock, or for the best quality results on photo paper like I do (and these figures deserve the best quality). Innefficient use of space on the page means big chunks of relatively expensive cardstock/paper going to waste.
But other than that these are an excellent set of figures, and the mix of PCs and monsters would make an excellent starter set for a GM wanting to use paper figures in a fantasy roleplaying game. Highly Recommended.
