BoB is a well written and well designed rules set. I had a bit of a problem initially in designing troops but after a more thorough read thru my problems were cleared up. The rules are logically constructed and best of all, IMO, use only one type of die (d10). If you are looking for a game that concentrates on the individual warrior, then this is it. I highly recommend BofB.

I really like this book except for one big glaring omission. Where is Western Europe? Whatever happened to Charlemagne? It's like there's this huge, gaping hole where there should be France, the Duchy of Lorraine, Acquitaine, Spain. Unless I have missed something (which I may very well have) then this work is incomplete. What is there is excellent but incomplete.

When I first got the New World of Darkness, about the only thing that I was not all that thrilled was the change from Nature/Demeanor to Virtue/Vice. While it was by no means a dealbreaker, I still preferred to older system in that respect. However, Monica Valetinelli's Scenes of the Embrace has me definetly rethinking my earlier reservations. Scenes of the Embrace is an excellent guide on how to use the Vices to motivate and drive scenes in Vampire the Requiem chronicle. In this case, the book concentrates on the intial Embrace and how it is driven by the Sires Vices. There are also guidelines for how each Covenant might react as well as some advice on using the game system to present the story. All done in an enjoyable and easy to read style. Finally, this book is more than just for VtR. These concepts can translate easily enough into the other NWoD books. Consider Scenes as a guidebook for how to use the Virtue/Vice system to add additional drama to your storytelling. At $2.99, it's an incredible bargain and a great resource for all Storytellers.

It didn't take me long to get the hang of the system. This is an excellent product. Yes, there is something of a learning curve but I quickly mastered and there on out it worked great. Character generation is quick and easy and allows for all sorts of options. I especially like feature where you can generate groups of various NPC's/monsters quickly. It is a great help to any Keeper. I recommend this product. I feel that I got good value for my money.

Traveller is back! I've been waiting a long time for this and I am glad to see it. The material is sharp and very interesting. It has a real original Traveller feel to it. The Spinward States is a worthy successor to the original Spinward Marches. I highly recommend it.
