The Path of the Witness is an awesome option for the barbarian. It doesn't just offer some alternative to the base options, it adds layers to gameplay, RP, and motivation. Highly recommended.

A-Mazing. There are very few supplements for Far Realm things, and my campaign has been leaning heavily into it. I needed some spells I could throw at my players that were unique that came from a found book, and oh boy did this deliver with a pretty large list of some very very unique and creepy mindbending spells. I can also use some of these spells to throw onto custom items for my non-casters as well. Like a previous reviewer mentioned, it also starts out with a thoughtful and amazingly detailed way to implement Madness into your campaign. Well done, well worth it. You get a lot in this supplement!

After having the "itch" for solo play do to lack of time for running in more then one campaign (a problem we all face lol) this was a great opener to the modules for solo D&D and the rest of the series and ive had a fantasic time playing this all the following ones as well in a continuing solo adventure. im really just looking forward to more modules past the 6th level as they get better with every addition. this introduction adventure really got me hooked into my solo D&D play

Ran this as a first-time DM and it went pretty well! Kinda wish there was more combat, but then again it's supposed to be more investigative than combative. Wish I read through it more to really grasp how it all works. Running it a second time will definitely be better. On the player side, one of them noted how it just felt like a lot of rolling investigation checks, and I don't know if that's just how I ran it or if that's just how that works. In addition, Velma has advantage on all of those checks, and she was never in combat (until the very end) so there wasn't really a chance for her to lose her glasses. My favorite part of the adventure was how my players actually fit into their roles, and I'm not sure it was on purpose. Lastly, I feel this adventure would work well in Ravenloft, and that's how I plan on running it in the future.

Are you loooking for an adventure with mind bending reality and multiple realities? Than this is the adventure with you. It has a great story with few lighthearted humour before the eventual hard hitting moral choices that hit harder than a critical. For newish players, you might be overwhelmed by lots of lore, plane-hopping, complex NPCs, branching decisions, and puzzle-combat hybrids. Will you answer the call and be the ones, who are brave enough to tackle heartbreak with a side of planar chaos?

I had a great deal of fun using this supplement to flesh out the npc's of Phandalin. My players especially enjoyed the way Ander and Thistle had joined a cult without realising it. As a new dm, it's very helpful to have a sense of personality and backstory for these characters, beyond a one-line description.

As a level 10 adventure, the difficulty of the monster design is too low, which made me doubt at one point whether I had misread the monster data provided in the book. Many times the puzzles or traps described in the book have little to do with the main story, such as the design involving finding a seat. I think this adventure book is very average.

An excellent addition to expand the Curse of Strahd campaign or to create your own adventure in the Shadowfey

This has been an absolute treat of a product. It is a well balanced and thought out concept. I've never had a class that had subclasses that felt so diverse yet still apart of the over all Merchant theme. Overall a perfect mix of good mechanics and flavor.

I love the adventure itself. Eberron is my favorite setting, and mixing it with Ravenloft, my second favorite setting with my favorite adventure, is a dream come true. It's a nice springboard that I'm loving to use to go into my own homebrew campaign.

The writing is good, with freedom to be creative.

I absolutely HATE the maps though. Namely, I hate that they do not come with a gridless version, and getting them to the exact proportions on Foundry is a nightmare. It got so bad, most of the time, I just replaced them with another map I found on reddit because I did not have the patience to fiddle around in foundry for hours to find the exact right configuration.

PLEASE map makers, include a gridless version of your maps for the VTT users. It is so much easier to make a gridless version work, where I don't have to worry about everything being EXACTLY right.

These sheets worked very well for all of the 2024 edition classes. If you are making a character strictly using the 2024 Player's handbook, look no further. I would however love to see a "blank" or more customizable version for each class to be able to use this template for subclasses and classes that are NOT included in the Player's handbook. Such as the Princess Class, or Necromancy Wizard.

Incredibly fun one shot! However, there are some balancing issues with the Fakena stat block. I ran the version for levels 5-8 on Halloween with a level 8 party of 4 characters. I just finished running the level 3-5 stat block with a party of 5 level 20 characters. I almost killed three of the five characters. Both of the Fakena stat blocks are incredibly OP and unfair. A CR 8 Lich should not be able to two-shot a party of 4 level 8 characters, and should also not be able to hold his own against a party of 5 level 20 characters.

We all had fun with the level 20 run against Fakena, though. So much laughing!
