Donatella Light Escort
by David T. [Verified Purchaser] Date Added: 08/25/2021 12:16:42

This is a ship design using Mongoose Traveller rules. There is an interesting background on this ship and I like the idea. This is followed by the ship data form and 2 pages describing the various decks. There are 4 pages of rather disappointing black & white deckplans. However at this price I am prepared to make allowances. Overall good ideas but disappointing deliver, but at a fantastic price for which I am prepared to make allowances.

10-dton GravTank Recon
by arthur p. [Verified Purchaser] Date Added: 03/02/2013 18:22:33

The text has been cleaned up a great deal from the first upload, but the graphic plan still needs serious fixing. At 10 displacement tons, the 1.5 meter grids should be something close to about 3 squares wide x 7 squares long. The plan is over 11 squares wide x 24 squares long ... about 130 displacement tons.

This mis-scaled plan is responsible for much of the earlier criticism and confusion.

Thank you for your review and business. I feel a little explanation is in order. I created this product using the Open Gaming License (1.0a) as well as the Foreven Free logo. According to the Mongoose Traveller SRD, there are two sizes of crew station for small craft: "standard" and "cramped." I must use either designation or be in clear violation of a law that I agreed to abide by. Also, any debiation from thethe SRD is a derivation and cannot use the "Traveller Logo." The large size of the diagram is used for display purposes only. The 10-ton Grav Recon is based loosely on the shape and size of popular North American armored troop transport. Thank you for your business.

10-dton GravTank Recon
by scott w. [Verified Purchaser] Date Added: 02/22/2013 11:47:32

First released it said 10,13 and 20 dton in the rules. It looks like it has space inside but says it is tight fit. After fixing the 13dt it still said "The GravTank Recon is a 20-ton gunned communication platform meant to fill the role of a small armored recon unit for a mechanized infantry battalion of the Imperial Marine forces of the Regency.".

I don't think they're reading it first before releasing it.

Thank you for your support and business. According to license restrictions, I must use vehicle creation statistics/ formatting as given in the Mongoose Traveller SRD document. I am also bound by the conditions of the OGL 1.0a

10 tons or 20 like the text says? Designed using the High Guard Small Craft design sequence and not the Vehicle Handbook. Design is uninspiring...called cramped in the text yet the large boxy vehicle/craft shows plenty of space to move around in. Convention over the years for Traveller has defined how big the boxes on a design are...this design fails to follow that convention. Thanks to the publisher for at least trying...but many other -better- designs that follow convention are available online for the same price.

Chentrikry Sector
by Megan R. [Featured Reviewer] Date Added: 02/11/2013 11:20:38

The actual content of this product is a single-page Sector map of the Chentrikry Sector - delightfully created in the black background with white hexes style of traditional Traveller maps... sadly without a printer-friendly version, as even if you don't mind using all that black ink, such things never print out well.

That said, it looks like it might be an interesting place to visit, once additional details are supplied either from your own imagination or other products from Rainer Games. You can just about make out some basic information from the chart - base types, presence of gas giants, etc. - although they are not very clear at 100% scale and if you go in closer they blur a bit.

This makes a good start, but needs building on to make it the 'home' for your adventures. But at 50 cents, that start is a good one.
