Apparently, Studio Agate has a great book to deliver...once again!

The Fateforge Encyclopedia is now on Kickstarter (until April, 1st 2021) and this 40 page preview is on the same high level of quality as the rest of their Fateforge product line: quirky ideas, great illustrations, pleasant and readable layouts.

All of these elements serve an original and epic (high) heroic-fantasy universe, powered by very creative rules adapted from the earliest role-playing game's SRD.

I highly recommend it!

Fateforge is probably one of the finest piece of art dedicated to the 5th edition of the most popular RPG system.

The Encyclopedia describes a bunch of locations, NPCs, plot hooks and magic items of high quality and even higher identity.

The world of Eana is culture rich and non stereotypical. If you want an alternative of "just another fantasy world", go for it!

Artwork is amazing, and so much detailed information for your campaign. Can't wait!

This product is very promising, with this preview full of highly detailed information of various towns. This information includes:

• The town map
• Important places
• Important figures
• Important events within the town
• Major issues faced by the town
• The history of the town

All discussed in depth. Each town segment should contain everything you ever need to know about the town, its people, and how it will interact with your adventurers.

Visually, the book is also extremely appealing. It has the faded, sepia pages of an old tome, with readable font, and detailed artwork. The way it is written truly paints a picture of the situation it discusses. It has the layout of most classic D&D books, without sacrificing much readability.

The only downside would be that there are some walls of text, which are inevitable when discussing things in depth. To combat this, the paragraphs are well spaced, with readable font, and images (where possible). There are some sections that may be difficult to read for those who struggle to concentrate. Many of the names are very complex to read/pronounce, which can make it harder to read, or much more difficult for those with conditions such as dyslexia.

Overall, however, I would say that this is truly worthy of a 5 star rating. It is detailed, readable, and contains everything you ever need to know bout locations, people, and situations. I look forward to the final product.

it has a lot to offer. Well fleashed out places makes a wonderful companion for games. The ideas inside it are great and well written. I can't wait to see the full thing.

A lore book on the world of Eana, settings for the augmented 5e RPG Fateforge. Stunning graphics depicting a wide range of cultures to be used in D&D campaigns!

Offers a useful reminder that you can use more than just generic medeval europe as insperation for you settings, and offers a good set of examples. Also gorgously illustrated. The preveiw sections seem to be full coverage of the the provided sections.

A wonderful product!

I am closely familiar with the rest of the products in the Fateforge line, and this Encyclopedia preview is of similar quality. Very evocative descriptions, the content presented in a very structured way, and drawings that will make anyone fall in love with the product.

In addition, it is very easy to adapt any of the cities and elements presented in your own campaign. It's a great source of inspiration to take ideas from or to use directly in your next game session.

What a great insight into an interesting diverse world that is taking Fantasy TTRPG design in a new direction. It reads really well[*] and looks fantastic. It makes a real effort into putting culture on the towns and places skeleton on inventing a world

[*] I guess this is s translation from the French original manuscript. I spotted one unstranslated Header and one para of repeated past tense sentences, describng a character Did you spot it] that jarred slightly. This may be a first pass translation of a past historic section??

I wonder about the pronouncibilty and memorabilty of the names - but familiarity gives immersion and vice versa.

Also - a nice glimpse into the slightly adapted 5e crunch - left me wanting more.

So tickled to find out more about Kaan! The details about Kartacöl, its history and the Assembly of Mothers is particularly interesting. The cultural melting pot aspect is here especially cool. It sounds like being a woman in Kartacöl could be quite positive - with marriage not necessarily meaning just bearing children and running hearth and home. I haven't gotten through the whole thing yet, but Studio Agate haven't let me down so far!

This is an Incredible Universe far away from the clasical tropes of the fantasy. An awsome work!
