Foreven Sector of the Week, June 07, 2013

Forevern Sector Review By Robert Thomas

A very well produced Map, but it's a little dissappointing that it doesn't include the already published Foreven Subsectors Data for: Messina, Fessor, Alespro and Tsokabar. Maybe there were licence issue, if so the writer should have moved thesector to somewhere else. There is plenty of Traveller Space to choose from after all.

Otherwise it's very good. If not for the above major flaw, I would have rated it with Five Stars.

The Sector From Hell (beta test, 1st subsector)
by Sarah M. [Verified Purchaser] Date Added: 03/28/2014 09:59:11

This is a work in progress. It is well thought out. It has a fantasy feel to it while using the Traveller rules, including a mage career path. Many animal stats are provided, and a random encounter table in which to use them. At this time, only a few of the many planets have much in the way of stats and backgrounds. The authors provide a nice vampire background, and promise more on demons and werewolves. I look forward to future updates. Quality is 4 stars as it is not complete.

Sadly, the last update was back in 2012, and I question if werewolves, demons, and other denzines will ever be completed in their "weekly updates". The abandoned feel to this is why the 2 star rating.

The Sector From Hell - IISS Tracked Cycle
by Richard C. [Verified Purchaser] Date Added: 01/14/2013 10:54:04

This PDF is a real teaser. The design is quite sound. The document us formatted correctly and this is a great first sample of a new series, I am eager to see it. The cover image is a little fuzzy. Perhaps it could be converted to a higher resolution format or reduced in size. A great example document that holds a promise for good things to come.

The Sector From Hell (beta test, 1st subsector)
by Richard C. [Verified Purchaser] Date Added: 01/05/2013 10:20:55

The author obviously put a lot of effort into this product. The text is properly formatted with appropriate credit given to Far Future Enterprises, Mongoose Traveller and Wizard's OGL license. Just to use the Mongoose logo, this author had to request specific permission for it. I really felt that this work had more in common with a fantasy role-playing game than any version of Traveller. Looking forward to the updates. All creatures are given fantasy names and "the sector from hell" is really "the sector from Dungeons and dragons."

The Sector From Hell, Full data for Beta Subsector
by Alan H. [Verified Purchaser] Date Added: 12/06/2012 04:19:41

Super-resource for those who use star system and Traveller statistics, even without the setting background for this free version. At over 1,400 pages, the largest ebook I've ever experienced by far. Thank you!

The Sector From Hell (beta test, 1st subsector)

If your idea of hell is painfull boredom than this is the product for you. It is nothing but generic world stats and absolutley has nothing in it about demons, vampires etc. If this is what Spellbook Software and Games thinks passes for a gaming product it will surely be their first and last.

This has the potential to be a fantastic product from what the blurb suggests, but for the moment it is nothing more than a list of systems with no further information, its not yet at alpha levels let alone beta.

Hopefully the updates will occur soon and deserve a rating worthy of the idea
