An absolutely amazing set of booklets that emulate the original box set of D&D. The most highly regarded retroclone of OD&D imo. Grab these and realize just how gameable and cool OD&D was and is. Really great products.

These three core documents do a wonderful job emulating the original. I like the fact the booklets are compact in size, easy to store, transport, print, and present during your own games, much as the originals were. TOCs are present, well thought out, and serve their purpose. However, indexes are missing and should be included in subsequent offerings. PDFs are fully searchable with well laid out bookmarks, but that would require a computer, tablet, or phone during play (something which not every old school gamer desires). Subject matter is well laid out in each booklet, flows logically, and guides the reader through ample play examples. Excellent sections on underworld, seafaring, wilderness, and aerial combat. I especially appreciated the sample dungeon walkthrough for subsequent jolt of referee inspiration. Ample monsters and treasure to keep an adventuring group going for some time. Perfect for introducing newbies to OSR game play. Written in an informative, yet easy going style suitable for many age groups. Great job, please keep them coming!

The Delving Deeper Referee Guide is short, sweet, and to the point but also useful and inspiring (which are the two most important qualities for any referee/DM/GM guide). It dives right in to creating a world, and the frameworks given are the perfect skeleton upon which to hang the flesh of your imagination. I can't comment on whether Delving Deeper nails the feel of "OD&D" or not, but I can say Delving Deeper captures the spirit of bringing friends to a table to create dynamic characters and adventures without being burdened by excessive rules and game mechanics.

Delving Deeper, into the chaos of the past where you trusted more on other players because of certain abilities they had and not just yourself and "powers". This is truly the Retro Original, where THAC0 ruled and 4E D&D powers drooled.

Though i give this 5/5 Stars, this makes me wonder, can the original adventures made for 1E D&D be used as they are in complete compatibility. It also makes me wonder if, because of THAC0, is 2E D&D adventures compatible as well? Sadly You & I shall not know until Immersive Ink says otherwise. However, whether or not they are compatible is one of the many things i can live without knowing...

Continue this glorious Retro version Immersive Ink, bring back the true reason why it came to be known as "Role-Playing Games" as opposed to what has now been labeled as "Roll-Playing Games".

I've been watching, waiting, and in many ways participating in the epic journey that has created Delving Deeper. The guys involved are all passionately devoted to quality and faithfulness to the "originals" without violating the OGL.

My gaming geek friends, if you want to play the Original like it would have been played when there were only 3 little brown books, this is your opportunity to delve deeper into the core of where all of this "RPG" thing started. It was fast, fantastical, and fun... Well, done guys!
