The Random Megacore DM Screen 3.5
by Rod A. [Verified Purchaser] Date Added: 10/24/2006 00:00:00

A very good, straightforward screen. I got the Forgotten Realms official screen as well, and this one is MUCH better, no comparison. The info that appears on both is more complete in the megacore one.

LIKED: The choice of info, and the completeness of the data.

DISLIKED: The type style is not my favorite, but it works ok.

QUALITY: Excellent

VALUE: Very Satisfied
I think the concept is good, but the execution could have been stronger.

The Hand of Fate

An interesting idea though I was wanting more. Many of the cards are numbers that can be used in place of dice rolls. Some will be wasted if used for the d20 system as there are very few times to use a 4. The other effects range from pretty power to weak so a GM will need to weigh and balance each card before using. The size of the cards are smaller then standard playing card and CCG size. They are a little too small.

Where I found this product to be most useful was in giving me ideas to create my own cards and seeing what is balanced and isnt balanced.

Intresting supplement. Some intresting ideas, but I don't think I would use it all that much.

I found the completed version a bit dificult to keep upright, but it looks good and the reference section is good.

The Random Megacore DM Screen 3.5

I have to admit I don't use these screens 'as-is': when I GM, I use a 2'x3' foamcore board with the various tables I need glued around the surface, where I find them useful. However, the tables from the Random Megacore Screen are some of the best I've found, including some I've tried to make myself. So, I print out the pages of the screen, nip up the tables, and arrange them how I like. And they do a great job.

Thanks for a great product, one that I don't hesitate to recommend.

Cheesy graphics, but good info. I am using it in my game. Good tips for making a screen from cardstock.
