A book of short fiction. Well written and fun, this is really good as an introduction to the atmosphere of the Traveller universe. Not essential to T20, unlike other Traveller's Aide series books.

Good product from T20 GMs. 16 character types each at four levels of experience... great for on the fly encounters. You run the game... you need this.

A good adventure with a nice serial structure allowing other adventures and trading to occur on the travel. Also, a large confrontaion later in the adventure forces the characters to make a big choice and will really teach them about the situation of the war between the Imperium and the Solomani Rim Confederation.
Favorite part: The ship the players may take, called the Broadside of a Barn, is a real piece of s***. Great for many aggravating side probelms for the crew to deal with.
These adventures are what will make T20 become the choice for Traveller over GURPS: Traveller. While that system is great, adventures is what drive play. If you are running a game get it!

A good adventure, shouldn't be too hard to insert in most Traveller campaigns. Leaves a lot of details open, to allow for individual groups. Good balance between linear and open structure, especially for a mystery-type scenario.

Solid product, good range of vehicles both civilian and military, with interesting writeups for all, not just a mass of jumbled stats.

A fairly comprehensive list of weapons. Decent product for use with Traveller d20, and could possibly be ported over for use with other d20 sci-fi games. Would have liked to have seen individual pictures and write-ups for each of the weapons.

A very good collection of Traveller fiction which is refreshing given the load of bad to mediocre game fiction that I've been subjected to lately. All four stories contained within are good to excellent and I have no qualms about recommending them to any Traveller or SF fan.
The only downside is that the final story in the product is the opening chapters to a story that STILL hasn't been released! (as of this writing the Traveller's Aide series was up to #5) so, if you like it like I did, its not looking good that it will ever see the light of day.

The comment feature on this site is a total farce. Far too often, it is used as a means of cheap sabotage of competing products. As a "feature" vendors pay for, it is a joke.
Now, to the product:
Traveller products generally leave me uninterested, much as the system itself does its best to leech any possible fun or excitement from the sci-fi genre. HOWEVER, this personal weapon supplement for T20 / Traveller is very good. It is clear, concise, provides good value for money, and also is inspiring for general play. Would I use it for Traveller? I don't play or run Traveller. Is it useful even if I am in the majority ie the non-Traveller gaming world? Definitely.

The comment feature on this site is a total farce. Far too often, it is used as a means of cheap sabotage of competing products. Or, even worse, vendors buy their own product to allow themselves to write a self-serving review. As a "feature" vendors pay for, it is a joke. Also, in actual market research as opposed to nerd anecdotes on web pages, less than 6% of online shoppers base their buying decision on reviews. Which is only common sense really - why on earth would you not buy a product you are looking for purely because some anorak gives it 0 / 10 ?
Now, to the product at hand:

As a GURPS Traveller player and as someone looking forward to T20, I can say that this product was WELL WORTH the measly $5 I paid for it. While there were a few things, like the lack of table format for the T20 weapons (which I hope they will fix in a free update), I had very few complaints with this product.
A few things- the weapon descriptions are very nice and the additional rules for T20 are a nice alternative and/or addition to what will be in the main book. Finally, I love the pictures of weapons. Personally, I wish it had a representative picture for each and every weapon (maybe not the obvious ones, like "knife" or "revolver", but it would be nice to get a picture or two of an Imperial gauss rifle...maybe those will be in T20 itself).
Overall, great job. 4.5 stars (but I can't do that).
