This has been a great adventure! I love the way they bring Kong into the game. Really looking forward to playing again.

An excellent adventure packed with wonderful materials to use in my own games! What more could I ask for?

This is a great game for cinematic action/adventure. My only complaint, and one I've noticed others share, is the marketing strategy that this is a spiritual reboot of D20 Modern. I'm pretty sure that the designers knew that people who remember D20 Modern fondly are mostly thinking of Urban Arcana. With Everyday Arcana not coming out until 2024, I dont feel cheated but there is an element of disappointment. Spycraft 2.0 was a game that took the 3rd edition D20 rules, broke away from the first Spycraft's dediction to espionge, and applied them to action movie style adventures. Everyday Heroes feels more like a spiritual reboot of that game and a very good one at that.

Although this is technically just a "setting book", Skull Island and its varied killer inhabitants are great to make a backdrop of its own, or to use as a specifically brutal destination for any Everyday Heroes game.

A new and interesting take on giant monsters and how to fight them in a roleplaying game. The Neural Handshake/Drift mechanic is on point with the setting, and the "Bonded Twins" Class can be a very cool way to run your own Jaeger if you don't want to deal with another player. An excellent addition to the Everyday Heroes family.

Mutants! Mutants! Mutants! Even if you set aside the fact that this Cinematic Adventures book has the Rekall machine to add some cool mental layering to your Everyday Heroes games, the addition of mutant origins and powers work great in any setting that you allow them.

The addition of dueling rules and the Immortals themselves to Everyday Heroes is perfect.

While there were some issues with this product (very slow load times from each page), they can be mitigated in most formats. However, I just could not figure out how they were going to make piloting a Jaeger seem cool. Like, does one pilot move and another attack? Who gets the left arm?

Evil Genius cracked their knuckles and said, "We got you, son," and proceeded to come up with some really interesting, intuitive, and EASY TO RUN systems that actually make me look forward to spawning kaiju from the abyssal depths of my imagination to wreak ruin upon the WORLD!!!

The way Jaegers take damage, and how kaiju are handled, are well done. They keep the challenge of the original metaphors Del Toro introduced, and make sure you're not going to have typical 5E characters climbing up them Shadow of the Colossus style. I could keep going...but I'd rather you buy the book! :)

This is a pretty solid product - 4/5 stars. The adventure has stakes, momentum, and meaningful choices, not to mention a decent introduction to the Skull Island / Monsterverse setting. The mechanics contained within are decent - gigantic creatures have some actual benefits from being as huge as they are, not the least of which is "Yeah, you're not hurting this thing without one of those Pacific Rim mechsuits." A variety of the flora and fauna from the movie make appearances, all with appropriately cool names ("Death Jackals!" "Psychovultures!"), and appropriately cool abilities.

An excellent product on its own. but knowing that it is the core system built on by all the Cinematic Adventures? That is the icing on the cake.

Great setting for a familiar heroe with rules your group should get in minutes.

Giant robots, Kaijun ? What's not to like. All that with a familiar ruleset adapted to perfection to the setting. A pleasure !

love the system and artwork. i was very dissapointed in the PDF. its slow and pauses whenever you try to scroll, probably due to the graphics being oversized. whats really annoying is the Everyday Heroes core book dosnt have this problem despite having much more artwook so in summary, goot book but unusable

This game is just fun, it's the best version of a 5e game I've ever played! There are a few good reviews on the net, so I'll just highlight two points that I particularly like in addition to the excellent game design:

• Versatility: just look at the Cinematic Adventures and you'll get the idea. From the Middle Ages (Highlander) to the future (Total Recall), from monster action (Kong) to undead drama (The Crow), all that and more can be played excellently with Everyday Heroes.

• The layout and fonts: With some publishers, readability is often no longer a criterion when designing a role-playing book. But here it is! The book is nicely and clearly laid out, the fonts are large enough for tired eyes at the dim gaming table. This is done in an exemplary manner.

If you have even a slight interest in modern 5e, do yourself a favor and give this game a try.

Honestly, I don't even know where to start, this is a fun system, and well thought out, Backgrounds matter, professions matter, feats matter, and what I mean is, running a few games so far, it's not a, "Well you have to take this feat all the time", it's every Feat has a purpose and depending on how the game is run, could be useful in 80% of sessions, I'm excited to see what Evil Genius throws up down the line, fantastic Game, Fantastic and simple system, and just a nice feel to it all.

With that said about the system, the Foundry mod does a good job, and Evil Genius has been very forward on what problems they are currently working on, mod is a work in progress, but they are listening and communicating with the community, it's pretty solid right now, and can only get better from here on out, imo.
