Hilarious! it was as good a read as it was an RPG system! very easy, very narrative, love the breakdown into Physical, Emotional, and Mental damage types, all affecting your character!

Babies and Broadswords might sound strange on the surface, but it is a surprisingly well developed game. There is enough content provided that this could be a multi-shot or even a daily-driver type of campaign. It's also simple and easy enough that it can be played in a single game, and character creation takes like 30 minutes from start to finish. The rules are similar enough to other TTRPGS that newbies would pick it up fast, but still unique and varied enough that vetern players would find it just as intriguing.

I own the Book With All the Rules and Crawl of Cuthulu, and they are well worth the low price for the physical copies, let alone a few bucks for the digital versions.

One of the best things about this game is the writing; the jokes are funny, the story is campy and silly, and the sublte nods to pop culture nerdom are on point.

I highly recommend this TTRPG - it is one of my new favorites to play as one-or-two shots, and also a great introductory game to the TTRPG world. Buy it!

Babies and Broadswords is a wonderfully easy and flexible system that allows you to make the Rugrat of your dreams and raid the castle (made of foam blocks of course!). I played a one-shot using this book and found it easy to make my character and understand how to play. It was a blast playing my goblin toddler with her pots and pans!

Babies and Broadswords is quirky and campy in all the right ways. It's a love letter to all the cartoons millenials grew up with like Rugrats; and Ed, Edd, n Eddy. Mix that with a rules light RPG system in the vein of the usual big titles, and it's instantly a good time. It's easy enough for beginners but also has a ton of min/max appeal for players looking to build a great character. Anyone looking to laugh and have a smile on their faces for hours straight needs to pick this up.

A delightful little TTRPG! Lots of room for creative freedom. I could see this game as a great route to introduce your children to TTRPGs, as the system is pretty basic and user-friendly and the content itself is kid-friendly. This game gives you permission, neigh, encourages you, to embrace your inner-child, with all the wonder and curiosity that brings.
