Fantastic book, worth every penny and more! Great layout, well put together and the art is fantastic. The hardcover is gorgeous.

Fantastic book. Good system, good art, good setting... This actually made me interested in the Fallout franchise. If I ever run a game of that, I'll use this. The only problem I have, is that it could use some more proofreading. Not gonna take down a star because it's just one guy. Anyways, I super, 10/10 recommend.

For anyone else using HexKit: I've discovered that it expects all it's tiles to be square (1:1 aspect ratio). Since these aren't, the tiles all get squished narrower than they should be, and don't line up right. However, I was able to use a program called ImageMagick to batch-process all the tiles and extend the image size to 1442x1442. Now they work great!

The Wight-box makes 1974 style fantastical medieval wargames campaigns easy to approach... This is a real achievement of effort and intent.

The internal black and white art sets the perfect tone for appendix N inspired gameplay, and the printed copy is compact, slim and easy to read due to the excellent font choice. The additions in the back of tables such as: dungeon generation, patrons creation, room contents and adjectives are fantastic aids for allowing player autonomy to explore what they like without needing prep.

Recently, I soloed my way through Chased/A Distemper Encounter (free at DriveThruRPG, 40 pages). It is for Distemper RPG, but I used Atomic Punk 2240 (same place, 170 pages, a 2d10 system). For the solo engine, I used a yes/maybe/no oracle and an encounter chart that I created. I created six PCs for this adventure. The encounter opens with the players moving east through Delaware towards the coast and what they hope will be a reliable source of fresh fish. They had hoped to make it there before nightfall, but it has become increasingly clear that they are going to have to stop for the night in this woods. Here the PCs encounter Maddy, and one of the Connor Boys (Luke) who is chasing her. The PCs win that battle and then they have to deal with Luke's brother Owen. The PCs win that battle and then question Maddy. She insists on rescuing her boyfriend and her two kids. The PCs agree to help her and the group manages to find the farmhouse in the dark. Namek the PC shuts off the power to the farmhouse. A battle starts when Junior and Donnie come outside to investigate. The PCs win that battle. The PCs attempt to search the bodies and are attacked by Silas. It is obvious that he has been drinking. The cuss words that come out of his potty mouth are slurred. The PCs win that battle, but Carson the PC is killed.

The PCs then enter the farmhouse, rescue Maddy's family members, and gather up food and supplies. The group finds their way back to the mall area where Maddy has been staying. The PCs interact with the NPCs at the campsite and the first impression skill check is favorable. They eat dinner there and spend the night at the partially constructed motel. The PCs decide to stay here because there are supplies and food. That night they eat dinner at the campsite, but they are attacked by two more members of the Connor Family. The good guys win, but two NPCs die in that battle. How will you do when you give this fun RPG a try?

The best post apocalypse TTRPG I've read yet. Very comprehensive and ideal for a zero prep style of gameplay.

I read through this over the weekend and it's a great improvement over an already great game. Everything seems tighter, the art is fantastic and the inclusion of a setting to play the game in really helps set the tone.

My favorite tileset.

I love the terrain and texture options that give me exacly what I find in the 1e DMG with no need to do further interpretation. The set also comes with installation instructions for Worldographer, which nicely complement the video. This tileset does exactly what TBE meant it to do, which is exactly what I wanted from a tileset.

The one problem I have is with the river feature geomorphs. Drawing rivers is my least favorite part of Worldographer, so I was looking forward to using the river geomorphs for that. There's one to connect each of: Hex Face 1 to 2; Hex Face 1 to 3; Hex Face 1 only; and a confluence with Hex Faces 1, 3, and 5. But, there is no geomorph connecting a river from Hex Face 1 to 4, which is to say you can't run a river directly across a hex from one face to the opposite. It's a small thing missing, just one tile, but it makes the river geomorph unusable for me.

Other than one thing, this is a great tileset I'll be happily using going forward.
