This is an amazing setting, with a depth of resource for Game Masters and Players alike. If you want a punchier, grittier form of 5e, this for you. The many playthroughs hosted on JarlDM are proof of the versatility and reusability of Iskloft for both one-shots and campagins.

Iskloft - Grim Viking 5E

Get this. Seriously, just get it.

The magic is so cool and mystical and utterly unique from anything I've seen before.

I LOVE how so many of the new classes build on the 5e I'm familiar with, but take it in a direction that is perfectly suited for a viking setting.

If you love the Vikings tv show or want a viking version of Game of Thrones, this is what you're looking for.

It's absolutely massive, and the art is gorgeous. It's well worth the money!

HIGHLY recommend!

This Viking-inspired setting is well-considered and wonderfully realised with richly thematic writing throughout. The art is stunning and immersive.

I love diving deep into the unique customs and cultures, character options and equipment, brand new magic systems, and loads of optional game mechanics which really bring home Iskloft's grit and brutality. The Brutal Wound rules add a GREAT deadly dynamic to combats.

I've absolutely loved every experience I've had playing within Iskloft, and I'm always hungry for more!

Iskloft - Grim Viking 5E

Having had the opportunity to assist with some of the playtesting, I can wholeheartedly recommend Iskloft; especially if you've ever felt disappointed by the lack of real consequence in 5E. The grim viking setting with the low fantasy interpretation of lore is both rich and bleak, with the clash of shield walls and battle ripe with glory and brutal tragedy. Armour matters more than ever, a stray arrow can cost you dear, dabble with dark forces at your peril and you must respect the unforgiving elements. The mood is well established throughout and the rule changes and additions are thoughtful and meaningful in their application. Skol!
