Wolves of Steadwick (5e)
by Theo R. [Verified Purchaser] Date Added: 10/18/2020 08:55:32

I've not run this adventure, but it seems quite difficult (there's a lot of puzzling required and the big bad is very powerful, with the various means of weakening him not easily discoverable by PCs). Nevertheless, it does a good job of doing horror in the 5e framework (including injury tables to allow for more horror-appropriate maiming instead of death) and offers a bunch of options for changing up the central story. There are also various sidequests that relate (or not) to the central mystery, and a number of really compelling NPCs. There's quite a lot of content, in other words, even if the connections aren't spelt out as clearly as they could be. The former does compensate for the latter, but there is room for improvement. At the sale price I got this at, 5 stars, but otherwise 4.

The Hawkwood Hideout (5e)

I haven't used many modules in the past, but this one was very user friendly, particularly in the introduction to the adventure. The book contains a few options in the narrative based on the party's decisions and actions as well as bonus, pre-made characters. A quick, easy read, and a good adventure to start off my campaign!
