Feet of the Salish Sea (a Dread supplemental)
by Aaron S. [Verified Purchaser] Date Added: 07/11/2022 16:02:32

I had a great time running this one! The improv/mystery mechanic means my group's play of it went in a different direction than the example play-through outlined with the scenario itself, but that was absolutely part of the fun. The play support provided is plenty, even with the improv/mystery mechanic, and the grounding in reality makes it that much more spooky.

I was initially nervous the heavy investigative nature of the scenario would make it difficult to make the Jenga tower nice and rickety, but that proved a false fear: Requiring pulls for proper collection of clues and the knowledge needed to generate insights solved the issue for me. For more details on this specific element, here's a reddit post I made seeking guidance, and a follow-up on how this showed up in my playthrough: https://www.reddit.com/r/dreadrpg/comments/qa4ucj/running_feet_of_the_salish_sea/ .

Thanks for a great scenario and a fun, spooky night!

50 Story Prompts and Hooks from Norse Mythos
by Daniel D. [Verified Purchaser] Date Added: 05/29/2020 03:04:55

I put 2 stars, not 1 only because thebthe book is true to original sources. More or less. There are very few hooks in here. No starters either. Do yourself a favor, reread Edda instead

The Wyrd of Stromgard
by constance d. [Verified Purchaser] Date Added: 06/27/2019 15:56:14

This game. What can I say. It had vikings. It had gods. It had giant immortal dragons chasing us through the roots of the world tree as we tried to undo a curse someone, definitely not me, may have accidentally put on our party members. There were creatures of lore, long forgotten, and magick mischief makers everywhere. The level of detail and research that went into this compedium is far more that my attention span could have managed and makes it a reasonably good resource for anyone wanting to know more about the lore and the lands. I have played it, twice, and both time have died entertaining and gruesome deaths before being thrown into the masses of Hel's depths. 10/10 Would die again.

The Wyrd of Stromgard

This is exactly what I want from a Norse/Viking themed RPG. The book contains plenty of information to inform an appropriate setting and the playbooks feel unique and thematic. Five historically inaccurate horned helmets up.
