Gentlemen Vs. Demons
by Marc C. [Verified Purchaser] Date Added: 10/23/2020 18:30:29

What an awesome game product. The presentation and book design are phenomenal. The writing style is really easy to comprehend. The illustrations and overall style really set the mood well. Illustrations from pages 4, 43, and 61 are favorites. The cover is just a beaut. The rules have been easy to follow so far. Random locations, setting tips, plots, NPCs, monsters, demons, etc. are all available. Mad science, also available. Get your time telescope ready and plot out your next adventure. I hope and pray to Zopar this book will be available in print so as to consummate my lust for its bepinkened pages. Congrats to the author on a job well done.

TOWN: A 2 Page Roleplaying Game
by JOE S. [Verified Purchaser] Date Added: 10/16/2020 17:17:00

Another exceptional entry from this publisher. A great world/character building exercise. Town let's you break out of the dull constraints of the standard RPG towns and villages and create your own character types. This is one sandbox I will more than happily play in again and again.

Times That Fry Men's Souls
by Max V. [Verified Purchaser] Date Added: 03/29/2020 03:23:10

Got this after I heard of it on a podcast. And oh I don't regret it! This is a densely packed hex crawl (1 page per hex!) with danger and loot just around the corner. The setting is easily adjustable to your tastes (I always go for maximum weird to be honest). Easily run as a stanalone and can be put into existing campaigns (I had it in a sci-fi frontier setting). Amazing book overall. Recomended to new and experienced DMs.

Gentlemen Vs. Demons

Excellent book! Neither overcomplicated nor oversimplified. It lays down a grid of very sensible rules and everyone is good to go to have great fun! Good bye confusing and restrictive rulesets, and big hello smooth and fluent gameplay experience!

Times That Fry Men's Souls
by Tamas K. [Verified Purchaser] Date Added: 02/21/2019 06:37:53

Highlights: evocative historical setting with an adjustable weirdness level, good layout and art, dense hexcrawl (there are no "empty" spaces!), plenty of hooks and stories for the players to interact with. It can be played both as a straightforward historical game, or a weird investigative horror that truly tries & fries your soul!

Overall, I really like Times That Fry Men's Souls! I definitely want to run it eventually. If you want a historically grounded campaign, with plentiful weird opportunities, you should get it too. Great for OSR systems (and especially LotFP), but certainly usable with Colonial Gothic or Call of Cthulhu too.

Song of the Sixgun
by Jonathan H. [Verified Purchaser] Date Added: 01/18/2019 12:57:13

Excellent game that works on a d100. It has very simple rules that are quick to read and reminds me of Boot Hill RPG but better. It doesn't get bogged down with having too many rules. There's 6 Attributes: ACTION, HEALTH, MUSCLE, NOTICE, REASON & SPIRIT. The Attributes are rolled up depending on how experienced your character is. These are YOUNG, SEASONED or VETERAN.

Weapons damage is done by different dice. So you'll need different polyhedral dice.

Skills are derived by your Occupation. So if you're a Rancher you will know all the skills a Rancher would know. So you can round up the cows, lasso, track, etc. This is all done with a single percentage number on your Occupation. You just use common sense when deciding what said Occupation can do. I've played quite a few different Western RPGs and this game simply flows. The rules assume everyone knows how to ride a horse so there's no need to have a Ride Skill. It feels like you're in a spaghetti western. I must say I really like the rules for Healing.

My friends & I can't get enough of this game. We've even converted it to play post-apocalyptic adventures with these rules. Hopefully, the author of these rules, Seann McAnally, could make a set of post-apocalypse rules (in the style of Mad Max, cars and all. Just a personal bias). I'd like to see his insights.

I would recommend these rules to anyone who enjoys playing westerns in a spaghetti western/comic book style. If you like your game quick and flowing this is the game for you. The price also makes this game worth it. Enjoy!!

Thank you Jonathan, I really appreciate it. Our group had a blast with it too. A post-apocalypse game is a great idea. :) - Seann
