Let Thrones Beware is inspired. Specifically, the inspirations are clearly in 4e D&D, but those ideas are applied in a wholly new and creative way.
Combat, non-combat, mass-combat, and domain management all have their own subsystems and feel like meaningful activities. Even though they each have a unique purpose and feel, they are tied together with familiar and consistent mechanisms and the entire game feels like a well designed machine.
The production values keep getting better with every update to the Beta document, and I’m excited to watch this grow into an amazing product.
