Another great guide from Richard Woolcock (Zadmar)! He's got a lot more useful Savage Worlds content on his website as well.

GET THIS SETTING BOOK! Its an incredibly fun setting, and so well put together (not to mention its incredible looking). I still can hardly believe its free. Richard knocked it out of the park with this one.

Great idea and a cool map, I particularly like the tribal fog feature. You can use the layers to show where the available adventures take place and turn off a hex grid for some hex-crawl shenanigans. You can also, if you want, turn off the title and text and use it as a generic fantasy map. I wish more maps used these features.

Richard is a genius. SotGH is spectacular. Get it, AND all the accompaniments. Get green. Get mean.

One of the best settings I have ever met. It is a cool setting with plenty of creative character options and the best bestiary in any Savage Worlds related book (and not just because every monster has a picture). The story of the Plot Point Campaign is also good, but it is really railroady and feels like the story has been built around the mechanics, not the other way around. But even so, it is one of my favorite Savage Worlds supplements.

Thanks for the review! The Plot Point adventures are indeed very railroady, you're right. However if you check out the "War Clock" and "Side Adventures" sections on page 50, there are some guidelines and advice for making the overall campaign more varied and flexible. |

Once again Richard knocks it out of the park with yet another GREAT product.
A rules "light" system that is enjoyable and fun. And while you will need more than a few d6's for this, it is more than worth it.
The setting, in which players get to play vampire's during the zombie apocalypse is a unique point of view.
Richard does a wonderful job explaining system rules in an easy to understand way, which allows for easy of play .
Richard also does a fantastic job presenting fun & exciting Plot Hooks/Seeds to work off of.
Once again like I said, a fun and interesting product, I plan on introducing several of my friends and fellow games to Blood & Bile at my local gaming shop.

A nice rules-lite system that can be run without a GM. You will need plenty of d6 but the results are worth it! There are three stats that are represented by different color dice. Creating characters is simple and intuitive using this method and you can get to the game quickly. My favorite part about this game (besides the incredible art and layout) is the premise. You're vampires during a zombie apocalypse! It's such a simple concept but has plenty to work with! Definitely worth a look!

free fun and savage laughs ! even reading was a pleasure! well done sir! a wonderful setting with more depth than it seems. If you find a few player you got a good introduction to SW, or recreative way of playing anti-heroes.

Just played the first session. A Oneshot of mine, loosely based on the Tavern story in the plot point campaign, and Sleigh Heist, a One-Sheet. One Player played Deadlands before, two where new to Savage Worlds. Rules where easily explained and we started.
The spin on classic fantasy RPG was realy nice and funny (Forrest Humans, evil Adventurer, etc.). Character creation was funny, to discover the unique Goblin Edges and Hinderances. Was kinda strange to remind ourselves that there are actually not three goblins, there are 11. But SotGH easily manages that.
It was nice to see how a tough Bugbear without a Gang and the other Goblins could manage damage. We had a realy nice and funny session.
Btw: Just from reading SotGH I was so interrested in the System I ordered a printed Copy from Lulu, using the manual Richard Woolcock put on his Blog Page. And it looks really good!

*Goblins!
HA!
They said these isles were swarming with goblins. Yeah, right. You've slain hoards of the things, been slaying goblins since you were not much more than a babe getting experience and a few coppers to buy your first beer! You still laugh at your granpappy's stories, at the shudder and that look in his eye of... of... fear! You are certainly glad you must've inherited a spine from your momma's side of the family!
Wait, there's one now... scrawny little guy... no wait, it's a girl! A girl goblin tryin' to sneak up on you through the brush!
HA! You can use yer bare hands on her, no reason to even draw yer swor....
...shock covers your face as you sink to your knees, a dagger sticking out of your throat. Your mind spinning down into darkness... "b..but...you...."*
Too bad yer momma didn't give you her brains...
...and you hope to hell she's not saving up for her first beer...
This is an amazing setting told from the perspective of the goblins. And no, you are not out hunting humans or adventurers all the time. You have your own lives, your own adventures and quests, but woe betide the occasional aventurer you do come across!

Saga of the Goblin Horde is a work of wonder.
I won't detail what's in the book as that is already covered in other reviews.
I'll just say everything inside it is part of a perfect mechanism geared towards actual fun, that makes it one of the best savage worlds settings around and a true paragon of how they should be designed and presented.
I wish all savage settings were this good!

Saga of the Goblin Horde is a creative twist on fantasy gaming, the players taking on the roles of goblins. But players aren't simple, run of the mill goblins, instead they can be Bugbears, Gremlins, and even mutated goblins! To make it even better, players are goblin bosses, bullying and pushing their minions about.
There are so many choices to really flesh out a character. The level of depth in this book is insane given the page count. There are generators for goblin names and knick knacks, plenty of solid Edges and absolutley fantastic setting rules. Setting Rules are one of my favorite parts about Savage Worlds as small changes can lead to huge, flavorful results. SotGH has wonderful rules that help really convey the feel of the setting, I'm a huge fan of "Meat Shield" in particular.
All in all this is a fantastic setting if you want to try something a little different that still has a solid fantasy feel. And to top it off, it's free!

Saga of the Goblin Horde is a delightful spin on your classic fantasy game setting. Playing from the precpective of the goblins is a refreshing change of pace. I agree with others that the quality of work that Richard has put into this project is top notch, and should not have been free. I've paid for products of lesser quailty.
Great job Richard, keep up the great work. Looking forward to seeing further works from you.

Be warned! These are not the average simpering goblins that so called "heroes" get their first XP with.
The setting is wonderfully detailed and the effort that has gone into it is enormous.
Well worth the price! Worth quite a bit more actually.
Edit: I'm not sure why my name (Mathew Halstead) is being withheld.
