[REVISED]
All the maps are similar. I'll use TULVIA as an example. The map dimensions are 1637 x 1157 (140 dpi) and 1/12 of the drawn map is dedicated to the city with 11/12 to the surrounding. It looks like it was done with colored pencils and pen. In the thumbnail it looks nice because you can't see that the lines are meant for style not detail. It looks like this was scanned in out of someone's sketchbook.
Conceptually: this city is well formed on the topography of the land.
Artifact: This is fine if you want to just give the characters a flavor of the area and not use it for greater detail. I suppose you could put a few numbers on it for locations, but definitely not for a battle map of any kind because your icon would have to be 5 pixels wide.
SO CONCLUSION:
JUST OKAY for artifact
NOT OKAY for battle map
I honestly bought it and haven't used it yet because it is just a rough drawing really.

Hey, thanks for the feedback. I was wondering if you could be a bit more specific. What would make this more usable? |

I’m a big fan of maps, and art work for my RPG game, and these maps are great, worth buying, why buy them you ask when you can get somewhere in the vastness of the internet. Two reasons, one you have them in a format that allows to use them to their full protentional adding labels as you see fit. You are supporting an artist and encouraging them to produce more for you use and the while the price is extreme reasonable, it’s a tangible thank you. Well worth your support.

Another beautiful map from my favorite map maker! Love the additional art on the border of Tarland. I have incorporated all the Journeyman Maps into my homebrew campaign world. I love the consistent, rustic style and my players love seeing them on the wall or table as they play. This kind of quality for that price makes these maps a must have for a GM looking to flesh out his campaign with some inspiring eye candy. Keep these maps coming please!

The fantastic realism of this village's composition makes it a must have for every GM tired of random villages. Not only the art is top notch but you have a real belivable, wanderable village usable for any medieval setting but also for a nice cottage adventure in the countryside. Dirty highwaymen or Hot Fuzz ? Your choice !

I love how the bailey makes it easy to adapt to a Gaul adventure, acting as the oppidum of the tribe.

Those autumn colors make it perfect for a little cottage adventure in a not so quiet village.

Another amazing multi setting map. The shading is what really make it come to life, sending a hot afternoon vibe. Useable for classic 17th century pirate adventure, you can easily convert it to a scifi shipwreck shelter on a savage planet.
