Karma Deck – 4th Edition

The Gods are angry! Luckily they're angry at your enemies. Good news for you- bad news for anyone who gets in your way....

Introducing the Karma Deck for 4th Edition Dungeons & Dragons. The Karma Deck is full of 52 unique cards, each designed to grant the players a temporary bonus in battle. Some of these are game-changers, allowing the DM to essentially 'tip the scales' in the party's favor when things turn against them without having to resort to a 'gimme'.

Sometimes fate works against the party, a string of bad rolls can make for a lousy game night- at no fault to you or your players. The deck can help.

Discover you've overestimate the strength of your party after you've dropped them into a particularly nasty encounter? The deck can help.

Looking to reward your group with more than just treasure and XP after an epic gaming session? The deck can help.

Looking for a nice steak dinner with all the trimmings for under $10? Sorry, the deck can't help. And now I'm hungry.

Be stingy with them or hand them out like candy. Use them like action points. Award them at milestones. Play Doctor DM and let the players take 2 cards and call you after they kick ass. Deal them out at random or gift specific ones to specific players who always have the habit of rolling bad at the worst possible time (you know who I'm talking about).

How you use them is ultimately up to you (and the Gods of course).

You get:

One full color set of 52 fate-twisting cards with backs + a full color deck topper* and instruction cards.

A full color version without the backs.

An 'ink-saver' version in black & white, without card backgrounds or backs.

*Print on demand version does not include deck topper.

I found this product to be AWESOME! It's not often I give a glowing review with no problems, but this product does exactly what it's supposed to do, does it well, and looks good doing it. In my game I use the Karma deck to show the favor of the [...]

Conceptually, Creation Edge's Karma Deck provides a simple and interesting way to incorporate karma, divine favor, or other boons into D&D 4e. You can hand out "karma cards" as rewards for, well, anything you want. A player can then use [...]

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.
Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
