Shambles is an RPG in which you explore life as a Zombie.  One day you just woke up dead.  Now you just want to get on with your life, such as it is.

But walking around as a Zombie just isn't that simple.

It's bad enough that you're slowly rotting away, and that your friends and coworkers don't want to have anything to do with you anymore.  It's bad enough that dogs try to roll around on you every chance they get.  It's bad enough that you're constantly trying to get away from chainsaw wielding fan boys, government spooks and creepy guys in suits.  But the constant craving for brains on top of all that, it's enough to drive you over the edge.

Shambles employs a lightweight system using six sided dice, and focuses primarily on roleplay.  You can play it grim, you can play it funny, you can play it gory, just don't play it hungry.  The other players might start to look tasty.

Version includes 4 modes of play, a great sample scenario, loads of great interior art, and overviews of 6 agencies and organizations to act as aids or foils to the characters.

Ten bucks get you:

June 5th, 2013 Es gibt so viele Rollenspielsysteme da draußen, die sich um eine Zombie-Apokalypse zentrieren. Erst kürzlich haben wir über das neue, in Entwicklung befindliche, Rollen [...]

A simplistic RPG with a simple scope, but a fun concept. You get to play the zombie! and not the horrific tragic monster either, instead you actually get to go out and have some fun with your unlife! [...]

Some time ago, Duane O’Brien, blogger and owner of the RPG Bloggers Network, provided me with a free copy of Shambles, his Zombie RPG. But it’s no ordinary Zombies RPG. This time you don’t get to defend yourselves from the undead, you are one of [...]

Subtitled 'The Wholly Unremarkable Life of the Living Dead' this game proves that, within these pages at least, being a zombie might even present a bit more interest than being alive. Read the Introduction and see how a humdrum existance can be changed [...]

Ran this for my usual group tonight. Here are some notes I have on it: We used the first character generation method (aka point buy). From the get go, players realized what their dump stats were: chuck, and for some, clutch. Humans only have one [...]

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.
Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
