A Midsummer Night’s Scheme (A Fantasy Scenario for TSRPG)

ADD TO WISHLIST >

“A Midsummer Night’s Scheme” is a self-contained fantasy scenario for TSRPG (Travel-Sized RPG) that is inspired by Shakespeare and set in the world of ancient Greek myth and legend and which includes everything needed to play it!

Characters in this adventure are one-foot-tall elemental servants of the Fairy Queen Titania, who dispatches them to gather magical ingredients that will allow her to recover a Changeling Boy from the nefarious Fairy King Oberon. Events in the scenario take place primarily in and around the ancient Greek city of Athens. It is appropriate for two to six players and should take between two and three hours to complete. Like the Fairy characters themselves, the tone is silly, light-hearted, and whimsical.

“A Midsummer Night’s Scheme” includes:

● A complete, illustrated adventure that features a compelling story, multiple encounter areas, and numerous fun and exciting challenges;

● Three encounter area maps;

● New rules for using Fairy Characters, Inspired Play, and Quotes in TSRPG games;

● Three Optional Encounters and suggestions for expanding or continuing the adventure;

● Four sample characters with custom tokens and illustrations;

● A copy of the TSRPG basic rules, allowing this scenario to serve as a quickstart for the system and be played without any other resources; and,

● A ZIP folder containing all of the tokens, avatars, character sheets, maps, and illustrations associated with this adventure to make it more user-friendly for storytellers and players running or playing it online or with mobile devices.

~ TSRPG (Travel-Sized RPG) ~

Be sure to check out Skirmisher Publishing's popular and Platinum-bestselling TSRPG (Travel-Sized RPG)! This improv storytelling game designed for a storyteller and one or more players can easily be played anywhere, from the airport waiting area you are stuck in, to the overnight in some hotel where there is nothing to do (and also, of course, in your own home). All the basic rules fit on one page; no dice are needed; characters have just two stats; and any bookkeeping that might be required can be done on a cocktail napkin with a pen borrowed from a waiter. TSRPG is fully supported with sourcebooks that include "Arms, Armor & More," "Wands, Wagons, Whips & More," and "OS-TSRPG," along with eight compelling scenarios, "A Long Way to the Top," "A Midsummer Night's Scheme," "On the Plane of Magma," "A Violet Shade of Death," "A Rose for Erato," "Into the Terrorium," "Whiskey in the Jar," and "Temple of the Banished Suns," all of which include pregenerated characters and the basic rules for the game, allowing them to function as quick-starts for it. We have also had TSRPG translated into a number of other languages, including German (along with two adventures, „Eine Rose für Erato“ and „Auf der Ebene des Magmas“), Spanish (along with four adventures, "Una Rosa Para Erato," "Un Tono Violeta de Muerte," ""¡El Plan de Una Noche de Verano"," and "En el Plano de Magma" and the "Armas, Armaduras y Más" supplement), and Ukrainian

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.

Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
