I've run a game of this, running In The Shadow of Tower Silveraxe and we had a blast! I was wondering how one would go about converting treasure amounts from OSR modules to 5B?

Heck yeah, Tower Silveraxe with 5B! The OSR module I play tested with was Willowby Hall.
Conversion from OSR to 5B is a good question, not really something Harald and I designed for but I can talk to him about it. Maybe we can put together a doc on that and Monsters at some point.

I had a pretty easy time just using monsters out of the back of the book straight, as is, without too much trouble. The difference in what gold is expected to level up is the only killer! When you can possibly get a couple 1,000 platinum and gold coins from clearing out a dungeon you run into the problem of your PCs being able to buy everything they'll ever need; and possibly jumping several levels at once.

This is great! Is there anyway to get a higher quality PDF? There's a lot of compression artifacts present in the current one

Oh wow, I hadn't realized how bad they got after I made them searchable and bookmarked. I can definitely upload an unoptimized hirez version until I can fix that compression issue.

This is awesome! I have been wanting to work out for some time now. I do have a question about spell damage. Is there a roll associated with spell damage or is it just the flat number "potential damage" on the spellcasting matrix? I'm really looking forward to incorporating this ruleset into my home game. Great job on this! -Jason S

Thanks for the kind words! Spell damage is the flat number in parentheses next to the indicated power tier. Our math has that number map to the average damage a full caster in 5e can do in that level range. So like, instead of rolling damage dice, the spellcasting check is kind of already doing that for you with higher rolls not only allowing for higher power tiers but also higher damage output.

For me, this is a literal game-changer. This doesn't intimidate a new player like a pile of $40-a-piece books and as a DM it's everything you need in one small booklet. My DriveThru account has over 140 titles I've tried to switch to or make a simple system out of. None of them has hit the mark like this one. Thanks for doing all the hard work cause now I get to go back to enjoy playing again!

I’m glad it will save you a bunch of work. Bringing the OSR streamlined game experience to 5e was a big design goal for me. It’s what a wanted for my home games so I built this.
And thanks for the nice review!

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.
Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
