Creating the pulpy feel of your favorite action flick or cartoon show mixed in with the rules you are familiar with, Tails of the City drags fantasy tropes onto the altar of pulp action to summon the mighty force of fun!

Completely compatible with other 5E, Pathfinder 1st edition and Pathfinder 2nd Edition games, Tails of the city allows modern people to get in way over their head and thrusts narrative control into their player's hands in a way that is usually not allowed.

  • New Feats
  • New Gear
  • New Spells
  • And so much more!

Take your game to the modern age, or drag the modern age back into the past, we aren't here to judge, just to empower your session to the next level!

This book is very well written and perfectly balanced for all three systems. I see that one or two people have complained about there not being enough 5e stuff in it, but there really is more for 5e than those one or two people have claimed. The settin [...]

For full disclosure, I was one of the Kickstarter backers of Tails of the City, having an orginization and NPC created for inclusion as part of my pledge. Overall, I am quite pleased with this campaign setting and am satisfied with supporting its creat [...]

Covers all the basics. Both versions of Pathfinder and the new D&D. Has magic, tech and everything in between. The perfect pulp starting point. Plus Fatbergs. Who could want anything more? :) [...]

Speaking as a backer for this kickstarter project, I'm sad to say that it provides few options for 5e players, and fewer of them spark the imagination. I can't speak to the Pathfinder side of things, as I don't play either edition, but [...]

Love the format (including rules for all 3 systems in each topic), and the feat work is great. It looks like it'll be a blast to play. [...]

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.
Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
