Theocracy of Canceri

Everything wicked comes from Canceri

The benighted nation in the north of Onara, Canceri, is a nation of contrast. Its urbane and cultured priesthood practice the most brutal rites of sacrifice and worship in modern Arcanis. Necropoli stand in perfect repair as the homes of the living decay in ruin. Brutal slavery is the law of the land, yet every soul: priest, noble or common holds the right to ultimate ascension. In all things, wickedness is the norm. Virtue is weakness, and paradise awaits those that embrace their baser nature.
This sourcebook pulls back the shroud on thousands of years of Canceri history, from the dawn of humanity's first empire, through the iron-fisted rule of the Swords of Nier. The nation's harsh terrain and poor climate, its ancient cursed places, and decadent and dire cities are dealt with in great detail. Enough information to generate an endless multitude of trials, tasks, and foes sufficient to challenge even the greatest heroes.

If you dare, look within to find:

Three new Holy Champion Base Classes: the Conflagration Knights of Nier, the Nerothian Reaper, and the Sarishan Knife, including epic level rules!
New Prestige Classes such as the Dark Consort, courtesans that use their wiles to break your will, and the Ventaka Razor, masters of dispensing pain to those that defy the Dark Triumvirate!
New Feats such as Dark Summons and Sadistic Glare! An apothecary's worth of Poisons, Mind Enhancers, and Intoxicants, but take care, all such things come with a price!
Spells galore, including such eldritch rituals as Death Ascendant and Reenvenrate the Chosen - a foul ritual to restore destroyed undead to unlife!
New Magic Items and Item Abilities, including numerous foul and cursed relics!
A Bestiary of Horrors that plague the benighted nation, including the wicked Sheodul, winged-reptilian horrors that stalk the night sky!
Dramatis Personae, the movers and shakers of the dire northern reaches of Onara! This e-book was made from the layout files rather than being scanned and is searchable and fully bookmarked. A printer-friendly version is included.

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.
Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
