Vampire: The Masquerade exploded into hobby games in 1991 and inspired a generation of fans the likes of which the game industry had never seen before or since. The cultural significance Vampire left on not just the gaming world but on modern vampire-related pop culture can be seen and felt at virtually every turn and in every medium today.

  • All the Disciplines from level one through nine
  • Updated setting to the modern nights
  • New full color original art by Tim Bradstreet and other classic Masquerade artists

About the Now in Print editions:

1. The Black & White print editions of this book are not full-bleed. Because of printing requirements there is a small white border around the edge of the pages.

2. Standard Color uses a thinner paper stock than Premium Color. This usually means the colors are less vivid, but it also means the price drops a bit per page in the production process. Examples of pages: Premium Color vs. Standard Color.

Can you guys please make the softcover version available again?

I see multiple people here asking for this and the Standard Color version as well without anyone responsible for this product answering at all. What's going on?

Here is some good pictures of it. Good luck finding it as it will be expensive.

The two versions of this: One is black leather, pressed ankh on the cover and V20 icon on the spine with a 2011 printing date.

Why it this not available in non-premium format?

Pushing people to buy V5 i believe.

I have zero interest in ever buying V5, so that won't be happening, and I know a whole lot of other people who feel the same way.

What happened to the black & white POD? I want a game book, not an illustrater's folio for 40$ more.

Is the premium edition bound with string or a glueback? I'd be willing to pay $90, but only if the binding will last.

Unfortunately it's glued. I was very disappointed to pay that much for a garbage non-sewn binding.

Why was the Standard Color PoD removed as an option? You've just moved this out of the price range of some people. Is this an effort to push people over to V5?

Exactly...Cause they know that V5 can't hold up to V20...

This was avalible in Standard Color PoD as of last May, when will that option return? I can't spare an extra $35 for better paper.

Does anyone know if the PDF version of this contains hyperlinks within it? For exam if it was to says "Refer to page 82" you could click that and it would go to page 82.

No hyperlinks I found - unless it's a PDF setting I don't have enabled. Seems you would be stuck with having to manually change to a reference page.

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.
Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
