This special bundle product contains the following titles.

Ephesus Abbey - An Adventure Kit for Maschine Zeit
Regular price: $2.00
Bundle price:
 Watermarked PDF

Ephesus Abbey shouldn’t have existed. Supposedly, it was home to an order of monks that had an apocryphal text from the Bible, an unearthed letter to the

Ephesians from Saint Thomas the Apostle. They clung to that text, hiding it away from the rest of the world. Indeed, their station wasn’t on world records until after

the Cataclysm. No written account of the order’s existence or the station exists before 2107.

Who were these monks? What were they really hiding?

Ephesus Abbey is an adventure kit for Maschine Zeit. It has details on the Abbey itself, a space station that didn't appear on global satellites for over thirty years. It includes enough encounters...

The ghosts hate intruders

You are an intruder

They hate you

You can watch the game's trailer here.

The year is 2110. In 2105, over a tenth of the world's population died when a number of space stations orbiting Earth went dead. The radiation that killed them had an unexpected side effect: The victims now haunt the halls, possessing machinery and threatening anyone that dares travel inside.

Maschine Zeit is a science fiction/horror RPG from Machine Age Productions. The game's mechanics focus on movie logic, encouraging dramatic behavior and offering players control over most of the narrative. The game emulates the conventions of such genre works as Alien, Pandorum, Event Horizon and Dead Space. The setting information is all presented i...

The Serpent and the Space Station - An Adventure Kit for Maschine Zeit
Regular price: $4.00
Bundle price:
 Watermarked PDF

Zombie stories in space stations.

The specters from Maschine Zeit can do a myriad of odd and malicious things; one of which is to possess the bodies of their victims. In The Serpent and the Space Station, the characters find themselves on a biology lab at the edge of Earth's atmosphere. Rumors suggest there's no life whatsoever on the station. Quickly, they find that there are a handful of survivors, living amongst the hungry dead.

The Serpent and the Space Station is an open-ended adventure, featuring sixteen scenes' worth of material that could easily span three game sessions without any overlap in the game's events. It requires little to no preparation, just a familiarity with the basic mechanics of Maschine Zeit. The mechanics and characters from Torn Apa...

Maschine Zeit is a great game with awesome mechanics. It's quick and easy to learn and the mechanics really push the game in the direction it needs to go (suspense-building horror) in a natural way by directly involving the players in the creation of [...]

Original electronic
Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.
Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
