Dragon Adjustments

ADD TO WISHLIST >

These 10 creature adjustments can be applied to any of the 8 true dragons from Monster Core. That means 80 unique dragons are yours to command! With FoundryVTT support! These adjustments include...

Angry Dragon: While few dragons are known for being particularly calm or placid, some dragons have had such ire stoked that lash out at the slightest provocation.

Broker Dragon: Not all dragons accumulate wealth and power through force. Broker dragons adopt a more cunning role by ensnaring mortals in conniving deals.

Despot Dragon: A despot dragon lays claim to a nearby settlement, organization, or noble family. They might rule from within the claimed area, or from a distant cave or fortress.

Dormant Dragon: When a dragon feels that they have accomplished all they desire, or needs to recover from a mortal wound, or simply decides they need a break from the mortal world, they might decide to take up an extended rest in a cavern, in the depths of a dungeon, or tucked away in a demiplane. But a dragon’s slumber doesn’t mean that mortals have forgotten the woes that they wrought or the curses they have invoked, and such a dormant dragon might find they need to defend themselves against vengeful adventurers, all while defending their wish for slumber through force of will.

Embedded Dragon: Some shapechanging dragons might sneak in and out of mortal culture, but an embedded dragon spends most of their time among mortals in disguise. They might seek to rule, or remain near a loved one, or plot their revenge against heroes who have wronged them.

Greedy Dragon: Some dragons never feel satisfied with their hoard, and attempt to accrue even the most basic of treasures in the name of greed.

Legendary Dragon: This dragon’s reputation precedes them, and they know it.

Slithering Dragon: While most dragons are evocative of massive lizards, an offshoot of draconic evolution has eschewed limbs and wings in favor of a snake-like body. These slithering dragons are more mobile and learn to use their entire bodies as weapons.

Verbose Dragon: Whether from a desire to boast, compose, or simply distract their enemies, verbose dragons can make locutions for hours on end.

Wild Dragon: Long ago, a lineage of dragons forsook plotting and stealing to return to nature and exert their fundamental superiority. Their descendants have lost much of the grandeur that defines most dragons, but they have evolved greater ferocity.

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.

Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
