This fantastic map pack contains 4 separate battlemaps that are perfect for hosted parties, diplomacy, intrigue, or even assassination.

Enchanting Ballroom

Count Harlan has invited you to his annual masquerade ball, but his rivals have other ideas. They're planning to stage an assassination and you're there to stop them!

A dazzling night to never forget as your party dance the hours away under dazzling chandeliers across magnificent parquet. Spin and twirl, cut a rug, steal the jewels, broker deals, assassinate a noble, anything's possible at the finest dance of the year!

A full size preview of the battlemap. A wide parquet floor with immaculate wooden tiling sits under glrowing chandeliers.

Moonlit Rose Garden

A missive from Lady Eleanor arrives, begging your attendance in her rose garden at midnight. What could she want with the party's services? Protection? Assassination? Or simply company?

Cool off with a walk in the rose garden. Take in the subtle scents from the overgrown hedgerows, or sit a while at the ornate stone fountain that glistens in the pale moonlight. The rose garden is the perfect venue for subterfuge, romance, or even murder.

A full size preview of the battlemap. Moonlight glances off a stone fountain surrounded by L-shaped rosebush hedgerows.

Lavish Dining Room

The monthly Bongusto Club, a meeting of the rich and powerful, is taking place tonight. You couldn't get an invite, but you've managed to infiltrate the wait staff. Your job is simple, extract the Duke of Flowers, a despotic tyrant and tonight's host. Collateral damage is acceptable in this mission, but leave the waiters out of it.

The richest people in the city meet once a month to dine on succulent food and show off their wealth. A pile of gold and jewels sits between them, a reminder of their greatest love - money. It would be a terrible shame if a group of adventurers were to interrupt festivities...

A full size preview of the battlemap. Two square chambers hosting large, ornate feasting tables are joined by a narrower room that is piled with gold and gems, and watched over by four winged statues.

Tavern Kitchen

The Rosewood Inn is the perfect venue for the high and mighty, and that includes your target, The Butcher Of Illwater Creek. He's living large with a posse of thugs in the corner, drinking, laughing, and making a nuisance of himself. He thinks he's untouchable, but you're here to prove him wrong. After a quick scuffle, he retreats through the kitchen and out the back, where a fast horse is waiting for him, and you're left with his goons, surrounded by boiling water, knives, and open flames...

This busy kitchen, staffed with underpaid but overworked chefs and plate cleaners, is a chaotic and hot environment. Perfect for a a chase or cramped fight between the party and the local crime lord's largest bodyguards.

A full size preview of the battlemap. A tight kitchen has a row of ovens down the middle and a large bread oven that glows with fire

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.

Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
